Arrived after long drive from St Malo. Had a friendly, efficient welcome and were made to feel at home. Stayed 2 nights. Thoroughly relaxing. Excellent breakfast with extensive choice. Home made jam, yoghurt, muesli and fantastic fruit salad. Good location, quiet with a pretty garden and great parking but only 5 minutes from Pauilliac and about 45 minutes drive to Carcans Plage and Maubuisson with its lake and leisure facilities. Great location for exploring vineyards and chateaux.

The room was VERY spacious and had a nice view to the back gardens. Giles, the house manager was lovely, very accommodating. The house has lots of extra rooms to lounge in with reading material and games. There are only 5 rooms in this big house, so very comfortable and quiet.

Excellent property, the most comfortable and enjoyable stay we have had on our world trip so far. The decoration was captivating and inspiring. Everything was good. The energy of the house was good.
The garden was nice.
The location could hardly be better, close to Pauillac with the Chateaux Pichon Baron and Chateaux Pichon Longueville Comtesse as ‘neighbors’. Cosy surrounding with great breakfast and possibility for a very good table d’hôte (except for Wed&Sat), we also had a great choice of wines or other drinks on the premises. The owners did so much to care for reservations at the wineries, nothing was too much for them…absolutely recommendable !
The communication from the team at the hotel was fabulous with great local knowledge of the vineyards. They had some great wines to choose from with dinner, which I can highly recommend. Was expecting a slightly more imposing property but once you walked into the property, it was simply gorgeous with fabulous large rooms. Definitely one to return too. Pascale and the team could not have been more helpful or quite frankly, nice.
Breakfast is OK but not exceptional. The standard room had an extremely narrow bed not sufficient for two persons. The other one was ok. The room was very cold. The spa is ok but the basin is small. The hotel is well situated in the town centre. The picture on Booking is misleading: the hotel is situated in the middle of a street, not in the nature. Globally, the hotel is comfortable but has a low value for money.
The hotel is set right in the vineyards. It was wonderfully quiet and relaxing and the staff were superb. Although the restaurant is currently closed the associated bistro in the village is only a couple of minutes walk and the food there was superb. The pool was perfect and the loungers very comfortable. The bed was exceedingly comfortable too. Thoroughly recommended hotel.
