The location was idyllic and the staff could not be more attentive. Our room was most definitely one of the most beautiful rooms we have stayed in.
The attention to detail was fantastic and the wines were superb.
The Lalique furniture and pieces around the hotel were exquisite. We were made to feel extremely welcome. We ate at La terrasse which I booked because we wanted to eat outside. If the food here was anything to go by we would definitely book the restaurant next time we stay. The Terrasse staff were great and made our dining experience very enjoyable.
We took a tasting whilst here and learned a lot about Sauternes wine. We even took some home with us. I highly recommend the food pairing tasting.
Breakfast was lovely (especially the little crème brûlée and the panna cotta)
Check in and check out was very easy and again, the staff were very helpful.
We cannot like this property enough and cannot wait to rebook.

The owners were the caretakers. They are very professional, they pay attention even to minute details, the premises are very aesthetic. The owners were also very friendly and accommodating. This is an exceptional place.

The château was incredible and I have zero regrets. The accommodation was excellent from the sitting areas, the breakfast room (and the excellent French breakfast) to the sitting areas and the vineyard views. The staff were all incredible. I was thrilled to stay there and pleased beyond words I stayed. I recommend the tasting in the tasting room before you go.

But drive a little further to Villandraut and you find some good restaurants (the "Fawlty Towers" Auberge La Cremaillere serves nice, tasty a la carte dishes and a great 3-course menu at some € 25.00 in the evening), a few shops and on Thursday morning a tiny market with local produce.
