Very clean.
Anonymity of a big chain hotel. If you are looking for a small and cute hotel, this is not for you.
Good transport (tram) to old town. Too long to walk all the time.
Near a main road but windows block the noise. Good and quiet a/c.
Note that the hotel is not in old or new town, which I liked. Quiet during the night.

The shower was good although more of a wet room than a shower room. The breakfast in the hotel opposite was fantastic with everything you could wish to eat. Nice is one of my favorite cities. Beautiful location on the Mediterranean. Pedestrian friendly. We walked everywhere. Great restaurants. Many options for day trips along the coast and inland to quaint medieval villages and national parks.

The city and overall French Riviera is one of a diamond in earth. The culture itself with its mediterrenian touches give you chance to breath and feel excitement for the moment you live. Nice is very clean, organised and beautiful with nature. The culinary seems fine apperantly but I believe deserves better service and variety. Very kind people.
Wish to live someday for longer in Nice and era.

I absolutely loved Nice.
I absolutely loved Nice. We were right near the beach, the train station, the tram and all the restaurants and nightlife.
It's the sort of city that suits me: it straddles the perfect balance between being a working town and a tourist destination. Yet, it's very relaxed with a lovely vibe to it and, in our experience, lots of very welcoming natives.
It's the sort of place that accommodates a wide variety of tastes too. The beach front has enough to entertain those who love a beach holiday (young and old). It's also a great destination and central spot for those who like a stroll by the sea, but who also want to explore small medieval villages and other towns e.g. like Monte-Carlo and Cannes.

Nice is beautiful with a range of places to see.
Nice is beautiful with a range of places to see. From the promenades to the old town there is a lot to see. The highlight for us was the climb up castle hill and the views. Nice is very accessible with a range of bus trams and taxis to get around. However the trams and trains are crowded and ticketing is best done online for the trains and pre- purchased for the trams.
Restaurants are crowded and expensive. French people are reserved and formal even when you are a communicator with strong French.

Nice surprised me, there was so much to see and do.
Nice surprised me, there was so much to see and do. Also the location made other cities accessible so we nipped to Monaco and Cannes by train. Will definitely return but I will book a more central apartment. Ubers were so readily available and the trains were quick and reliable used train line to book on the go. Although the tickets never scanned on the barriers it didn’t matter we still got through. The waterfall looked amazing so might be worth the trek we just admired it from the bars.
10 out of 10 for everything. This was a last minute booking made when our flight was cancelled due to UK air traffic control issues. It exceeded expectations and was way nicer than the hotel we had booked for our original 2 night stay in Vence. Delighted with everything from the welcoming greeting on arrival, all the help given by staff, location, quality and cleanliness of the rooms and the wonderful bed linen. We could not have been happier and it actually made our stay in the south of France so much nicer and more memorable!
Neko is an amazing hostess, very charming, hospitable and I can say without hesitation that she truly became a good friend during these 8 nights. I also was told that I was the first Russian in her apartment, so I enjoyed a very special treatment and our conversations were a real cultural exchange, very enriching and helpful for a person like me who was for her first time in France! Her accommodation is located very close to the historical city center, too, and I had everything I needed there.
Exactly as it looks on line. Bright, airy, spacious, nicely furnished and well equipped appartment. Living area is very large room. Small balcony with side sea view perfect for breakfast. Quiet side road between Bd des Anglais (sea) and Rue de France (local shops). Tram stop just around the corner, from Airport to Port via Garibaldi (for old town). Lovely bakery opposite tram stop. Close to Musee des Beaux arts and Villa Massena - both included in museum pass (15 euro for 3 days).
We loved this hotel! First of all it is in a great location super close to everything. You can easily walk to old town Nice or to the train station which we loved. The rooms were very stylish and spacious! We had just came from Paris prior and this room felt very large! The hotel facilities were also nice. We ate at the cocktail bar one night and the food and drinks were tasty for an easy dinner. Would definitely recommend this hotel!
We had a lovely large sea view room with a large bathroom - it was definitely worth paying the extra for the sea view.
A good buffet breakfast in very nice surroundings - a choice of sitting inside or out on the terrace.
The hotel is in a great position, within walking distance of Nice old town, market, beach, restaurants, shops and much more...
The staff were always cheerful and helpful. A special 'thank you' to Jessica
Norman had been getting bad reviews. He was very nice to me. He couldn't do enough. He works everyday.told him to get out, take break. Shower great pressure and hot water.plenty of towels.housekeeping wanted to change sheets everyday.didnt need that, but got what I needed.quiet, very comfortable bed.housekeepers had previous careers, but COVID ended them.Trying to pay bills now. COVID was awful for France's economy.
The staff was wonderful. Very welcoming. I had a flight change that required a 3:30 taxi pickup. Due to the location in the old town I had to walk out to meet the taxi. The hotel made the reservation and provided very detailed help to make sure I knew how to get there. I was a bit concerned walking alone at that hour but the club scene in Nice ensured that there were many people out and about.
Lovely hotel and great location. Rooms very clean and quiet and staff were extremely kind and pleasant. A great hotel if you want to be next to Nice Ville train station and there is a tram stop a 1 minute walk away. Perfect for travellers and early morning trains to explore the rest of the south of France. Highly recommend and the lobby area was absolutely stunning!
Great location - close to Promenade des Anglais and the Hotel Negresco. A short walk to the old town. The breakfast was good and it was great to be able to eat it outdoors in the lovely courtyard. The staff were quite friendly and reception was able to show us in despite our very late arrival. Having airconditioning was wonderful (and rare in France!).
The hotel was very close to Nice Ville Station which was a bonus for us as we were taking the trains to get to other parts of the South of France. It's very quiet at night and the room was a lot more spacious than expected, the balcony was a plus! Very cheap compared to other boutique hotels in Nice during November.
nice hotel. not what I was expecting from a 4-star hotel though. the room was clean and a good size. the staff at the entrance and the porter who carried our bags to the room were incredibly nice. The location seems to be one of the best in Nice right on the beach. the pool is a plus and the towels are very plush.
WE made our own meals as I have a strict diet for health reasons. This is a great location to visit Nice or nearby places of interest. We also visited Ville France Sur Mer as it's so picturesque. April is a great time to visit with no crowds and we like being alone on the beach and waterfront for the solitude
Very nice and clean room. The breakfast was perfect. The location is next to the train station and close to the old town. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We loved everything in the hotel and had the best time in Nice and the French riviera :)
Staff was very helpful. We had a lot of bags after a long france trip and they helped with everything and arranged us a very early taxi ride the next morning to accomodate all of our luggage. Would definitely recommend and woukd stay here again.
I was very pleased with my choice . Everybody in my Nice family was very impressed. The location. The shopping the close beach the very near parking garage. If I come back I would try to come back to 79 rue de France.
The location was amazing, staff was so helpful and friendly! The building and rooms were clean and adorable! :) The breakfast was amazing as well. It’s everything you imagine when you picture staying in France!
The personal , the rooms , the hotel is excellent.
It’s probably best BB hotel in France. The rooms are BIG , comfortable beds , big tv and i will definitely come back!
Clean, comfy room well situated in Nice, walking distance from city centre and near train station. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Thank you Hotel d'Ostende.
We had an amazing time with a great vacation here in Hotel de France, Nice, the stuff’s kindness and the hotel’s delicious breakfast made our stay even more memorable.
