We stayed during a father and son roadtrip across France. The hotel was on the edge of a lovely tourist town. The car park is a little tricky to find, but good. The room was nice. We asked for a twin room, and received a large room with a twin and single bed. It was very comfortable. Breakfast was also good. Busy, but a good selection. Take a little walk into the town, it is really worth it.
Set in the centre of Ornans, Hôtel de France is just 300 metres from the Gustave Courbet Museum. It offers an on-site restaurant with a terrace and the possibility to buy fly fishing packages.

Modern and clean, dog was welcome. The windows can be opened. The pillows are excellent. It is not located near the centre, but great for an overnight stay.
This was our second stay. On our first stay we arrived later than 1 a.m. due to traffic and we still got the booked room thanks to the 24 h reception.
Please be aware that we have reported this hotel to the local Police as they take money from your card and make up lies as to why. Be very aware that the manager at this resort is agressive and not nice to deal with at all. I would NOT recommend staying here. It is a shame as the location & hotel is nice, it is just the management. Book with caution.
We were cycling the Via Francigena from Canterbury to Rome, so an hotel along such a scenic route was just perfect to relax after a hard day on the road. Each room has a furnished balcony - for smoking - and looking out over the Loue. An ample breakfast set us up for the day. A local épicerie just down the road has everything for the traveller.
Wonderful couple running the hotel, lovely views, great breakfast and lots of activities for the sporty ones. Don’t visit the restaurants nearby, instead opt for the onsite dinner - its great (plus nothing beats the view). The house itself is renovated by the couple and is an old family home - make sure to get all the stories from Sophie.
