The troglo was bigger than I thought so it was a nice surprise! It's half troglodyte (kitchen and bathroom) and half construction. It was fun to enter "into" the mountain and as many people said, bathroom is the best! The kitchen had everything to cook simple meals, there is a microwave, a kettle. The TV is small but we were not there to watch tv so not a problem for us. Just be careful that the ladder is not "easy" for everyone, but you have pictures to see how it is. I didn't feel in danger using it at all.
Easy to open and the person was available by email if we had any issues. Internet worked great. We really liked it. It's close to several beautiful castles and very close to the Cave des Roches (mushroom production + sculpture -- you need to see it!). Easy to park on the street.

It's located in the old hotel building turned into the apartments. Feels and looks a bit creepy like an abandoned hotel from '70s, but fun especially if you like games like "The Last of Us". Also, getting into the apartment was like a quest. Overall we liked it as an intermediate stay on our trip through Laura river castles.

This is a beautiful place to stay, I wish we had been there for more than one night. The decor is gorgeous. The bed was supremely comfortable. The breakfast was all you could wish for. Our hostess was friendly and charming.

We would recommend La Creperie du Donjon for delicious food and friendly service, as well as La Fabrique Trattoria for amazing Italian food and staff who speak excellent English.

Cannot say as only stayed overnight. Would like to have seen more but was travelling south. Loved the wonderful ancient buildings etc. Only downside was being unable to find somewhere to eat which was unsuccessful as each place we tried was full.
Superb! 5 star apartment! Johnny (the owner) prepared his apartment like a hotel, even better than some hotels. Immaculate and and spotless with everything you would expect in a hotel. Glad we booked instead of the more pricier hotels in the area. We were welcomed and everything was explained to us in detail. I stayed with my adult daughter for two nights as we were visiting the Zoo de Beauval.
Our twin room was very comfortable and clean. We slept well in spite of the heatwave!
We particularly liked the terrace, the lovely views over Montrichard and the tasty and plentiful breakfast. The breads and homemade jam were delicious!

Comfortable bed, nice shower and seating in living room. Loved the window onto Main Street. Kitchen was well equipped and big dining room space was useful. The decor and general look of the apartment was great. The location in town center was terrific for walking to the river, patisseries, restaurants and small markets.
The location is great - we know Montrichard well and have been coming to the area for nearly twenty years. This time we came without our children and grandchildren - so the apartment in the centre of the town was great, not far from shops and restaurants and a good base for day trips to our favourite places.
We've stayed in this hotel quite a few times and love the location and parking on the street outside is usually pretty easy. The river view is nice and the road outside isn't too noisy. The Air-conditioning was great. The restaurant food is usually pretty good.
Lovely property close to the centre of Montrichard with its gorgeous restaurants. We had a room with terrace which was lovely to sit out on and enjoy a coffee.
We were made very welcome by the charming hosts and had a delicious breakfast in the morning.
The location is good for the walker: in the center of town, on the river and easy to find, and only 1000 feet from the train station. The hotel's restaurant serves a fine dinner, and there are many other dinner choices within 5 minutes on foot.
The location was excellent and the accommodation was super clean and well presented. Off eoad parking right next to the accomodation was very useful and the property is located very close to the centre of Montrichard.

This is not a hotel. A key was left out for us as we arrived late - there was no breakfast - not even coffee ! but it was lovely! a castle in the middle of nowhere!
