While the apartment is small it is well laid out and had everything we needed. It was clean and comfortable with easy access to the centre of town and the shops.

A small town surrounded by smaller towns. If you are looking for something, you may not find it, but if you are just looking, you will find many wonderful things and people. There is a beautiful and quiet trail along the lazy river. You'll see others, but it's not crowded.

Not much happening.
Not much happening. Not many places to eat especially if you want to sit outside - we had to as we have a dog. Two nice places to eat and they are next to each other - The Creperie Bretonne (where we ate and had great Gallettes and crepes) and a Pizza restaurant (don’t know the name) - both extremely busy - think you had to book for the pizza one. Managed to park our car in the same side street just feet away - we had a loaded car as en route south and wanted to leave it where we could see it. Visited Marmande as staying at Originals City Hotel which has a great location less than a minute off the autoroute and is excellent. However we sat and had a chat with some great professional singers from Paris who were competing in the 35th MusicFestival in Marmande - and one of them won it!

The well laid-out town centre belies the rather mundane...
The well laid-out town centre belies the rather mundane entrance in to the town via the usual French strip development approach to commercial and industrial development.
Good separation of pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
Remote setting but close to the town of Marmande.
Spacious house and grounds and fantastic pool area for swimming and relaxing.
Host offers dinner service and the sale of wines and drinks if required.
Always someone available on site in case of any problems, which we had none. The house has excellent A/C system that was well received during the hot weather.
The property is gated, so very secure.
Handy location to train station. Quiet. Comfortable. Very clean rooms with functional AC. We were pleasantly surprised how good this hotel was, for a very reasonable price. Good breakfast.
The hotel is very good value for money. The room rate is very attractive. The breakfast is good value. I had it as an extra item and I thought it was worth the money. Plenty of parking.
The hotel is very well located near the motorway With an excellent routier in easy walking distance for a well priced evening meal. The breakfast is very good but rather expensive.
