    There isn't a whole lot to the village of Maresches itself,...

    There isn't a whole lot to the village of Maresches itself, but the area is very nice for cycling. Le Quesnoy is a particularly interesting destination. The Boucle Un'Escaut is a nice loop which starts at the marina in Valenciennes.
