perfect location for a sport event in Villefranche. quiet, clean, comfy, fully equipped, nice bedrooms, nice decoration. Perfect for a family of 4. Stayed only a night, and wish we had to stay longer.

Location was good for exploring Beaujolais region as it was somewhat in the middle.
Dinner there on our first night was good. But only available M-F then you have to drive min 15 mins for restaurant.

The property is delightful - an oasis of charm in an industrial estate. The rooms are very spacious, comfortable and the food in the restaurant is exceptional.
Hôtel Newport is 3 km from Villefranche Train Station, just off the Saône and the A6. Rooms at the Newport Hotel are equipped with satellite TV, telephone and free Wi-Fi. Each has a private bathroom.

nothing there apart from mcdonalds and a retail park which was closed on Sunday. We could not find a single bar in the town that was open and we walked a long way... Best to stay in one of the smaller villages a couple of miles way, they at least had bars open and some small supermarket type tabacs/shops.

There are thieves around, so I would never suggest anyone stay in this area. We had all our cash stolen from our room although it had a key pad with code on our door so it must be some kind of scam. Couldn;t reach the hotel or head office by phone to report the theft, and the police are investigating. Very upsetting and ruined our holiday.
We chose the hotel as it was ideally located near the main road for an overnight stay mid journey. Despite the proximity to the road, we were not disturbed by traffic noise overnight. The staff were friendly and the beds comfortable and they were able to provide adjoining rooms for a family of 5. The facilities were basic as you'd expect from a budget hotel but the rooms were clean. We didn't opt for breakfast so cannot comment on that.
It's a good choice for an overnight stay, on your way down to your final destination (which was the case for us). The hotel is a couple minutes from the highway, so very convenient.
I was surprised by the Restaurant - it was actually really good. The personnel at the front desk was super friendly and professional. Therefore I recommend this place and would stay again if we have to take the same route.
The staff was very helpful. I accidentally booked double instead of triple, and the staff helped me to change it even when there was a big event in the town and everything was booked. Thanks again!

We needed a stay over night in an easy hotel while driving through France. This is a simple, clean hotel just off the motorway.
It is great value for money, room had a double bed with a small sofa, table and chair. There was also plenty of parking next to the hotel.
The hotel is super close to the motorway but still really quiet. The lady on reception was really welcoming. For the price, we didn’t expect a lot but the room was clean and the bed was super comfy. We got a good nights sleep before travelling again.
Superb hotel perfectly placed for the long journey from south to north. Very clean, very friendly, very helpful staff. The restaurant serves very good food, the bar is well stocked and it's an absolute bargain. Careful in the shower! It's powerful.

I stayed at this hotel because I spent New Year's Eve at a nearby location. The room is quite small, but for those who are used to the Ibis standard, they know what I'm talking about.
Lots! The pool area was lovely, the hotel was clean and in a good state of repair. The staff and service was good and the food was lovely and reasonably priced.
Due to non existent directions we were unable to find property. Telephone call to hotel resulted in the phone being put down, probably due to lack of English.
