Helen was so welcoming and friendly. The room was large, tea/coffee facilities and bottles of water were provided. The bed was so comfortable and the shower was really good too!! We sat on the decking in the afternoon sun. A little piece of Heaven. Breakfast was fresh and filling with lots of options. Jack and Jill (dogs) even put in an appearance and we're good company. Accommodation and experience was excellent, beautiful bedding, very clean and comfortable, the fireplace lit for us in our room! This piece of history in a quiet secluded location that persuades you to look into that history. Breakfast! So nice, what presentation!

Lovely room with comfortable bed. Great to have tea/coffee making facility in room. We had a private bathroom right next to the bedroom. - this was fine. Matthew was an excellent host and the evening meal was a treat especially as I was served a wonderful vegetarian meal as requested. Breakfast super too. Parking outside on the street was okay. The village is pretty and has a few facilities but being close to La Brenne was the plus for us. The lake on the edge of the village was a lovely spot for a long walk and some bird spotting. Would be very happy to return to B & B at Chaillac.

Unique interesting and fascinating. The delights of this property are the quirky rooms dinning areas and the location. Visiting was more like staying with friends than at a booked accommodation as the hosts when helpful friendly intriguing and interesting with their stories and knowledge of the local area. If you wanted a glossy shiny hotel that’s soulless then this isn’t for you. If you want colour adventure and a unique experience combined with the most amazing food then this is the place for you.
