We arrived unplanned at this wonderful location after a previous booking at another establishment was totally unsuitable. Such a delight to see such a super place with very welcoming staff. We spoke both in French and English so it is great for guests who don't speak the language, to know that it is a bilingual hotel. The restaurant was fabulous, being sophisticated with very friendly staff offering a superb service. The food was exquisite for appreciative diners. Had a newly refurbished bedroom, with very comfortable beds and a modern bathroom/power shower

After a very difficult week professionally, the universe decided that what we really needed was a night here. And how right it was. We loved our stay from the second we arrived. Shelby and Dom are as welcoming and full of bonhomie as the house is stylish and individual. We left floating on air perfectly equipped to deal with whatever life throws at us. This was a wonderful large house, which has been lovingly decorated with many amazing objects. Bruno and Roberto were very helpful and recommended a lovely restaurant in nearby Perigueux, where we had a wonderful meal. And for our one rainy day, Bruno recommended that we visit Vesunna and the amphitheatre (remains of the old Roman city) and the Chateau at Bourdeilles, all were worthwhile visits. Highly recommended stay.
