This was the first time I planned to stay in the South of France for 5 weeks or more in the winter. I was really pleased with my selection of place to stay. I was fairly familiar with the area having visited the South of France regularly since 1969 but I could not have anticipated how good this place turned out to be. The house itself was excellent with plenty of space and very well equipped with all you could need. The hosts were friendly, flexible and very helpful throughout my stay. The location is absolutely ideal. Whilst being just outside a very small village it is actually just 5 minutes away from a key junction in the Toll Motorway network with easy fast access to Nice in the East and Toulon and Marseille in the West. In the summer I usually end my slow tour South with several days in Le Lavandou on the coast between Hyres and St Tropez so the house was in the ideal location for a regular trip down and around or over the top of the mountains to Le Lavandou for lunch. Trips to St Tropez were just as easy and heading North the spectacular landscapes of the Verdon Gorge were within easy reach. A number of small towns are within a 20 minute drive although some of the roads are tricky at night. Lorgues has a wonderful Market and lots of Restaurants and a couple of supermarkets. I would highly recommend this as an excellent place to stay and base your explorations of the Var and South of Provence.

We went to attend a wedding. The room certainly could have been a bit bigger. However, it was very clean and tidy so we wouldn't complain given that we didn't want to spend a lot of our time in the room anyway. The cleanness and comfort is similar to a 4-star hotel rather than a 3-star one.

The errors in the description were brought to the attention of the staff at checkout. We were told they would be corrected. If they are, this would be a good place for a stopover visit. The rooms are clean, and well designed, but there are definitely 'no frills’.
A very good basic hotel.. Not fancy, not luxurious, but amply met our requirements. Had all we needed. Breakfast was good, rooms were clean, and good car parking. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay.
So I was looking for a simple hotel in the countryside.
And this one exceeded my expectations.
