The location was superb for us & the view just what we hoped. The steep climb up the roads would not be ideal for everyone & we were glad to hire electric bikes for our stay...it helped getting back to the hotel after an evening in town. The staff were super helpful & positive. The breakfast was very good and the hotel is very clean & comfortable. Thank you.

My room was small but nice. I most liked how easy it was to meet others/ the community atmosphere, the outdoor sitting area, the kitchen & the excellent breakfast.
Le Cardinal is located on Sauzon Bay, on the coast of Brittany. It has an outdoor swimming pool, a children’s playground and there is a small beach at the foot of the hotel.

The location is beautiful probably the nicest placed hotel on the island. The pool is lovely and the general surroundings both inside and out are clean and tidy and very welcoming. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The rooms although compact were clean and the bed was comfortable with good-quality linen. The shower was unusual but very good with lots of pressure.
There are some really super restaurants and places for breakfast nearby.

Le Palais is the main town in Belle Ile, which is well named as it is beautiful. It has restaurants, creperies and interesting shops as well as tourist ones. Many people sail here and moor for a night or several. There is a fine 17th century citadel overlooking the town and a little harbour with lots of watch.

Le Palais is a strikingly pretty town, with a beautiful harmony to the streets and buildings. Sitting near the harbour for a drink or dinner (I mean the harbour behind the port where the ferries come in) is an absolute delight. We loved watching the fishmongers prepare the fish in the market too.
Get up early to get yourself an electric bike to explore the island. So much beauty, so many hidden coves and fabulous beaches...

walk from ferry port a very comfortable 5 minutes, lots of restauraunts bars and shops to wander, lovely harbour, little known fact they have a purple line on the pavement if you follow it it takes you right to the bus terminus
The quiet position, the views, the location near the gorgeous Port Guen beach and near the plant nursery with it's fabulous botanical and exotic garden, the fantastic bio supermarket and being in walking distance to Le Palais. The garden with grape vine and apple trees. Having a DVD player and hi-fi. Nice shower over bath and one in garden room with a second loo, note these are not mentioned in the booking com website!!. A lovely homely feeling. Downstairs area useful for the bikes we hired.
Ideally located in a quite corner, pretty close to Le Palais and 50 m awau from a small nice beach. A little bit isolated though. Not exactly a walking distance from the Le Palais, probably 20 minutes' walk to the center, we took a car. A brand new house, very clean and super-equipped.
What an excellent find! A Simple family run hotel with a really superb view and relaxed staff and atmosphere. The breakfast was also mostly organic or local. We had 1st floor sea view rooms.
Stayed here before, lovely hotel right next to where the ferry docks. You can sit outside and watch the world go by in the busy little port. Rooms are ideal and very clean.
Great to have such a lovely hotel open outside the summer season, it's well located, beautifully furnished and decorated, and guests are felt very welcome
