We had a great time, so relaxing, the swimming pool and outside area are very nice and well maintained, comfy beds and soundproof rooms are there for a good sleep, the staff is excellent - friendly and professional, thank you very much for making our stay such a positive experience. A modern resort and although the buildings are mainly apartments we liked the architecture.
Very clean
The beach is very long and sandy although too early in the year for us to go on it or swim.
Many stylish restaurants bars and cafes within walking distance, a lot around and near the marina. We had lunch in le Tandem, a small restaurant near the front specialising in freshly caught seafood. Moderately expensive (about £50 per head for 3 courses) but the quality of the cooking was outstanding.
Lots of other shops.
The resort was surprisingly busy for March.
To get to or from Montpellier Centre is pretty easy by public transport.
There are local buses which stop outside La Poste (15mins walk from the front) which connect with tram stations for the onward tram. The cost of €2.60 per person ( €1 bus and €1.60 tram ) is amazing value.
A taxi from the airport to the Grande Motte is pretty expensive at around €40. There may be a cheaper alternative but we did not have enough time to check this out.

I prefer La Grande Motte over Grau du Roi or Palavas-les-...
I prefer La Grande Motte over Grau du Roi or Palavas-les-Flots or Carnon because it has more woody areas and possible to walk around pine trees and by the sea.
Prices are also better at restaurants: a menu can be around 18 euros when other towns start around 22 euros and up.
Lots of outdoor activities.
Parking a hard to find though.

Beautiful place.
Beautiful place. Quite and relaxing place where to spend the weekend to unwind. There are a lots of restaurants and shops, the beach and people are so kind and friendly. You have to try the Italian Fabio pizza and the Boulangerie - Pâtisserie- Salon de Thé Le Versailles: excellent quality!!

It was our first visit to La Grande-Motte, specifically for the spa hotel, in January, so not a good time to express a view about this holiday town, although there are great beaches and plenty of promenade facilities.

Most certainly not suitably for pensioners, and this should bebeen made clearer on the site - far too long to walk from reception to accommodation, especially with suitcases and necessities for self catering.

Everything is perfect! The apartament is small, but nothing is missing. The room and the bathroom are exactly as described and as shown in the pictures. The bad is comfortable, you can use the kitchen to cook and there are a lot cookware. Excellent cleaning! One of the best position in la Grande-Motte: 5 minutes from the Pasino, above the fantastic bekery Boulangerie - Pâtisserie- Salon de Thé Le Versailles, in front of Pizza Fabio and 10 minutes away from the beach (everything on foot).
We really liked our stay at Le Flamant. The apartment is very well equipped and looks great. The Wifi was very good. Great location, very easy to walk to the beach, the port and city center. The host was wonderful, he met us at the property and showed us the area's to visit and best way to get to the grocery store, port, beach etc, which was very nice! We would highly recommend this apartment and would certainly stay here again.
I travelled with my elderly mother who has issues with mobility. The hotel was perfect for her! The staff were friendly and the access to areas (pool, breakfast area etc) was great for her. They upgraded our room for free to a superior with the view of the nearby golf course, which meant that she had the extra space (helpful when you need to get around). It was all perfect
It is really very nice place. Apartment is big, it is enough for 4-5 people. Everything to use in your rest is in it. It is a terrytory of living complex near the golf resort, at the location is swimming pool, which you can use /you can ask about it your host/. With car is not far from a perfect beaches /cca 1,5-2 km/ and shop. It is very green area and calm place.
View, facilities, friendly and approachable staff. Location is both good and bad. Good is that it is close to the sea and has a view.
Despite everything I describe as bad below, this apart is a good value for money offer (comparing to hotels) ONLY IF you are ok to live without AC, sleep very deeply and ok with an average cleaning.
I've been around in many many different places, this one beats them all:
Decoration, attentions to detail (chocolates, drinks in the fridge, coffee caps, etc...)
Good location (200m from bakery and small shops, 400m from the beach,...)

Great location withing walking distance from the beach, marina, restaurants and shops. Helpful and friendly service made checking in and out very easy. Bright, clean apartment with a well equipped kitchen to prepare meals. Quiet building and great views from the enclosed porch made our stay very comfortable and relaxing.
