I think the hotel is not good value for money. It was too expensive for what we got. The rooms are tiny and lacked facilities. We had an issue with a leaking air conditioning unit. To be fair, the staff were friendly and helpful but for the amount we paid, I expected better facilities.
ibis La Ciotat hotel is located 3 km from the centre of La Ciotat and 30 minutes' drive from Circuit Paul Ricard. The hotel features a view of the Mediterranean and free WiFi internet access.
Set in a quiet location in Ciotat town centre, this 2-star hotel is opposite the port and 300 metres from the beach. Guests can relax on the shaded terrace, which leads onto the garden.

A welcoming hotel in a good location in between the beaches & port, best of both main attractions of La Ciotat. Very well connected by bus (literally on the doorstep) to & from train station, Cassis, Marseille & beaches further along). My room had a sea view, bed very comfortable & It was a heatwave so I was so grateful for the air conditioning. I did request this was included in the booking (unlike some reviews probably didn’t). 70’s charm & everything was spotlessly clean!
Moxy La Ciotat has a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, bar, a shared lounge and terrace in La Ciotat. Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge.
This family-run hotel is ideally located on the sea side and faces the main sandy beach of La Ciotat. It offers a terrace. Some rooms at the Hotel Miramar offer sea views.

Clean and beautiful beaches with different type of sand, some activities for tourists (I’d add flying over water with a parachute and water bike). Good restaurants and food.
Botanic garden needs more care now, it was more beautiful before. No free parking.

Nice place to visit, it’s a bit pricey but nice, IMO if you want a good ice cream go to Alessandro Glacier I highly recommend it, for a great pizza Profumi d’Italia, set in a nice square. Many pubs and restaurants look over the sea.. it’s really nice.
We missed to see Les Calanques , apparently are awesome. Sunday market it’s a must lots to see alongside the sea, worth visiting

Great climate, really great for vacation.
Great climate, really great for vacation. But the restaurants on the boulevard are absolutely disgusting. Worst food ever. For good and really good restaurants you need to be in town. Don't go to the tourist-restaurants because they don't care about quality, only money.

Interesting Port town typical of the area.
Interesting Port town typical of the area. Parking is difficult and streets are narrow to negotiate. Quieter than nearby Cassis. The beaches are quieter but there is no sand, just rocks. Foot protection to enter the sea is essential,

An interesting, attractive port with views over the harbour, some industrial parts remaining. Bars and restaurants facing the harbour front. Extremely busy and buzzing at night due to street stalls all along the front and restaurant trade. Made a good base to travel for day trips to Cassis and the mountains inland. Only spent a short time in the evenings in town so did not use the beaches

Would definitely return to la ciotat, but was busy mid June, so would be too busy for us in July and August. Good choice of restaurants. Recommend Vietnamese rather than the Thai next door which was overpriced and too pushy to make you buy more.
We arrive early evening in La Ciotat and find this nicely renovated hotel in a great location! The room is larger than expected - a great surprise! More storage than I could imagine, lots of floor space to open our luggage. And I took note of past reviews that mentioned that Saturday night can be noisy, so booked a room away from the port side. It was immaculate. The bed was very comfortable and supportive. The shower has very good water pressure. And lots of plugs on the desk to be able to charge our devices.
Location across the street from the beach, great furnishing and tidiness of the apartment were all amazing. Communication with the owner was always brief and pleasant. If you’re looking for a great stay at the south of france, I recommend this apartment.
We loved this place. A beautiful villa with a private pool, a plenty of space , 10 minute walk to the beach, a nice town to visit. We enjoyed our week and would be happy to return.
