Lovely, clean, spacious accommodation. We had a family room and my parents had the shepherd’s hut. It was lovely for the kids to have some green to run around to break up our journey to the Vendée. The kids loved the playground and the animals. Breakfast was brilliant.

Incredible building, historic castle chateau in rural France. Owner very friendly and gave a guided tour on our arrival.

Gorgeous!!!! Grounds beautiful, staff lovely and friendly. You must have dinner there the food is amazing, the chef is brilliant. There is no way you could get that quality of food in the UK at that price

Lovely place to stay for a couple of nights. Very clean, a small bar and ability to hire electric bikes too. Restaurant next door is good value and did a lovely steak cooked over charcoal fire. You have to settle up with them as no facility to link to your room.
Hotel Le Lion d'Or sits in the city centre of Bernay, 3 minutes from the train station. Its rooms have cable/satellite TV, private bath or shower and free Wi-Fi.

Breakfast was ok, Location was perfect right in the centre, room was ok a little small but adequate for a one night stay travelling through to Calais, bars and restaurant's right on the doorstep which was good.
