Clean comfy hotel with a nice breakfast. Large spacious rooms with shutters for letting as much or little light in as you like. Great shower and towels all provided. Friendly accommodating owner and a nice friendly cat. We stayed one night after a night camping in the rain. The hotel felt like luxury. Other advantages were the secure lockup for the bike and the proximity to the station (one of us was taking a train). The hotel was very good value for money. Would definitely recommend it. I'm so sorry we couldn't stay longer to chat with the owner about motorbikes but had to get on the road.
The hotel is situated just minutes from Nevers city centre, easily accessible from exit 33 on the A77 motorway and offers comfortable and affordable accommodation.

We arrived at the Chateau on a lovely sunny evening, and the sight of the building and surrounding gardens was beautiful. We were greeted by a lady who spoke English to make it easier for us to check in and was very helpful in getting us some fresh milk for our tea.
We were shown to our room via one of the tower staircases and found a well equipped room with a view over the swimming pool and sun deck.
The power shower was outstanding, and a real experience with a choice of side showers, overhead or hand shower.
A walk in the garden and a rest in one of the many hammocks slung between the trees was a treat not to be missed.
