I felt very privileged to be able to stay in this beautiful chateau. It has some stunning architectural features, yet feels confortable and spacious. It was remarkably close to Grenoble and easy to find off the motorway. Gieres, retains a small village atmosphere, yet is so close to the city.
My room was very large and confortable and breakfast was lovely. The pool area and grounds are magical and I awoke to birdsong!
Hotel was very quiet, so easy to relax and sleep. You can change the room temperature to suit you.
A good amount of shared toilet and shower cubicles, which were almost always empty anyway.
Check in was easy as you can use the machine outside the hotel door and it provides you with the keycode for your room.

Our daughter, a student lives right down street from the hotel so for us the location is perfect. If your child lives near the St Martin d’Heres/Gieres campus, it makes sense to stay here. You really can’t beat the price. It is also very quiet and very close to the tram. We have stayed here twice. They also accept pets. Reasonably priced breakfast.
Simple hotel with "cool" style - feel of "new". Staff was nice and helpful. Room with personal bathroom was cleaned everyday. It is perfect if you look for a place just to sleep near the campus (as room are quite small). Good quality/price
On the contrary of what we expected by reading the comments, the automatic check in was quite easy. Room was comfortable and having a private bathroom is a plus in comparison with other hotels from the same franchise.
The room was very clean and comfortable. Great choices for breakfast and friendly staff. We were directed to the restaurant opposite the hotel, with a 10% discount and the meal was amazing. We will be back!
