Beautiful off the beaten track location but close enough to some lovely towns like Beaune. Wonderful hosts who truly went over and above to make us feel welcome. Very comfortable, immaculately clean luxury room with huge super comfy and enormous, double bed. Superb dinner (cooked by Sheena) in the evening with wonderful wine from John who were both so kind in catering so wonderfully for my wife who is coeliac and gluten intolerant. Thank you again! Will definitely return and highly recommended to anyone looking to stay in the area for a few nights. Fabulous breakfast served overlooking the pool and gardens too!

We know the hotel and the restaurant for more than 40 years, so we knew that old-style place. Unfortunately we arrived on Sunday late afternoon and had to leave on Tuesday morning, so we could not eat in the restaurant. The hotel was so nice to inform us about this upfront. Everybody was very friendly. We consider this place as good value for money.

We were looking for a place for an overnight stop but in the peaceful countryside, and so selected La Renaudiere in Gergy, which is located on the banks of the River Saone, For supper our host asked us what kind of place we would like to eat at, and then recommended one, which was unfortunately full. He was a bit dubious about our choice (in neighbouring Allerey-sur-Saone) in terms of food, but we were keen to be on the river as there was a heat-wave on in France at the time. As he had intimated, the setting was perfect but the food indifferent.
In fact, there was little to beat La Renaudiere itself - the host is a retired florist and has a stunning garden.
