Not very much it was on the outskirts of of Evian. I messaged them about parking with no reply. Check in wasn’t until 3.00 pm and check out too early at 10.30.

I had 4 days at the end of my long vacation to choose a new place close to Geneva airport to stay before heading home. There were a few options (Thonon, Gex, Lausanne) but I chose Evian for size (not to big) and proximity to Lake and Mountains. Lake Geneva is beautiful, especially on a sunny day and a great place to walk. There’s not a lot of shopping, so you wouldn’t come here to do that but there are enough restaurants and cafe’s for a short stay. There is also the Casino, Evian Spa and aquatic complex for people who are interested in those things. If you have a car it’s only 30mins to Abondance and 45 minutes to Morzine which are both cute mountain villages where you can do walks in the summer and skiing in the winter. This is also the home of Evian water so a little history to learn and explore. There is great local food products and wine. You can also take the ferry across the Lake to Lausanne to visit the Olympic Museum or visit the town itself. If you are heading to Geneva you should drop into the small historic town of Yvoire for a few hours and maybe have lunch at one of the several restaurants.

Lovely lakeside walks and good access to pleasant places...
Lovely lakeside walks and good access to pleasant places like Lausanne (by ferry - worth the ride as beautiful views) and Yvoire. Shopping (including supermarkets) a bit limited in Evian itself and not a great range of affordable restaurants. But good access to hypermarkets etc. by car. Skiing nearby at Thollon - with some of the most amazing views over Lake Geneva from the pistes.

We were here for just a day, so I cannot make thorough analysis of the place.
Great walk alongside the lake. Small city center with few good restaurants. (You have to reserve for the good ones at least few days in advance) I recommend to visit the Cachat spring and the spring building (it's currently under restoration to make it even more beautiful)

I liked that the little town centre was safe to move around even in the wee hours of the morning where i had to walk 20 minutes back to my hotel after leaving the casino.
Had a good time walking and looking around the little quaint shops in Evian town centre and the water source of Evian is walking distance from the town centre and Hotel Royal Evian.
Loved the Chinese Restaurant called Chinatown Chinese Restaurant, food was great! If you are looking for a good spread of Western food head down to Le Pub which is located just next to the Casino itself.
Taking the boat across to Lausanne, Switzerland was a breeze which cost 21 euros?

Shops, restaurant, good sized supermarket, quiet, relaxing, good ferry service to other places around Lake Leman including Lausanne. (Remember to take your passport or ID, we weren’t asked for it but we were told we had to take it with us on the boat trip, there were no notices anywhere saying this. Great funicular railway which is free.

Walking along the lake. The Palais de lumière. The spring.
Walking along the lake. The Palais de lumière. The spring. The shops & restaurants. It's a very easy place to get around in; there is basically a very long main shopping street high up in the town & running parallel to the lake.

Extraordinary hotel, a timeless classic. You are always guaranteed to come back well rested and satisfied. Their kids club is one of the best in Europe and they are flexible with the food ( in room, restaurant, bar) with plenty of qualitative variety and options for adults and kids. Absolutely clean and dedicated staff as always.
Was doing a tour round the Lake with a night in Lausanne followed by a night in Evian so we picked this hotel due to how close it was to the ferry location (just across the road). It was a great choice as the hotel is perfect in many ways - location, cost, cleanliness and staff. All of these things were first class.
Great location. Source cachat (Public Evian Sping) is only 5 minutes walk away. There is a bar and several restaurants right outside the hotel. Just a few minutes walk down to the lake. Friendly staff and fast check in experience. They have a lift that can accomdate 2 people or 1 person with luggage.
My stay was exceptional! I would return to stay here again. The owner of the hotel and all of the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was amazing, very large, and had everything I needed. The location was absolutely perfect, close to everything and walkable. Fantastic views, and lovely restaurant.
Location is hard to beat, there is bakery, restaurant, and many more all around, giving plenty of options. The hotel is overall quite rustic but everything worked, and I found it pretty quiet. The staff was welcoming and nice everytime I had to interact with. My stay was really relaxing.
Location was great, staff ultra friendly and helpful, lovely bathroom, room smallish but adequate, quiet at night and shutters were great at giving a dark room. Loved the breakfasts. Would have liked a kettle, but this is France!
Our junior suite was spacious and well-equipped, with a nice balcony overlooking the lake and hotel grounds. Hotel's public areas are nice and full of light. Breakfast choice is good and the staff are welcoming.
We liked everything about this hotel, there was everything in the room you needed and more. Lovely gardens, friendly staff, great restaurant and food and great views across the lake. Decor was great.
We enjoyed the private parking for free! Beautiful garden, very well located. Room with view to the church and lake. Service very professional and friendly. Bakery, restaurants and bars near by.
Lovely hotel, stunning food at the restaurant. Anglo norman charms everywhere you look. Amazing attention to details and an unbeatable lake view. Staff was top notch, rare in this day and age.
Very nice view. Garden.
Small hotel but good.
If you leave downstairs, narrow steam stairs.
Host or receptionist was very nice . Helpful.
Clean. Clean..
Free parking. Organized.
Location was perfect, close to lots of restaurants and bars, beautiful walk along the lake. Views from hotel just stunning. Staff were polite and lots of choice for breakfast.
Charming appartment with everything we needed for our family gateway. Great location, a lot of different restaurants nearby, nice promenade for a walk. Can highly recommend
The peace and quiet was lovely. Slightly out of town but the ammenities at the hotel made up for it plus the shuttle which would pick you up on request was fantastic.
Needs a renovation.
Although the hotel was only half booked, we got a room with a window facing and on the level of the backyard., which was quite annoying.
