Key pick up was really easy. The apartment was very clean. It was easy to park on a quiet residential street right by the apartment. The owners had clearly tried to provide well for the needs of travellers with little extras like a sewing kit and games available. Interesting decor, slightly quirky but tasteful.

Great little house entirely refurbished a couple of years ago, perfect for our family of 4 with our 2 daughters aged 4 and 8 with everything you need. There’s a courtyard in the back that must be nice for a breakfast under the sun: We couldn’t use it as the weather unfortunately didn’t allow for it the week end we were there

Fresh produce, especially fish, veg and fruit sold at various markets make it a great place if you like cooking. The town is small but has most facilities and plenty to do, it is close to magnificent beaches and a good base for exploring the area which has much to offer.

E'taples is a beautiful place.with every thing you could possibly need. There's a fantastic market which takes up the whole of there square. On a Tuesday also a Friday. There's great places to eat and the people are very friendly.

Bes was comfortable (only positive) Floor was dirty - fire door wedged open- cigarette buts by our door - children running and screaming around corridor at 1:00am - no A/C - toilet flush fell off- sink basin rusty - rotting material in bins by door - noisy trains passing every 20 mins - no dining place available - over priced at €117 - says dog friendly but nowhere to walk them. Worst place I have ever stopped in 50 years

Etaples has a lovely market square with good bars and restaurants which were used by the locals. A nice place to walk around.
There are some excellent little shops with great produce. Parking in the square is abundant and free.
I loved this Hotel. The Owner was friendly, helpful and had a beautiful French accent! The room was comfortable with clean sheets and towels, a kettle for your hot drinks and was very quiet; never heard a thing all night and it is located just off the main street and down a smaller street behind some flats and houses. Plenty of fast food type places and there is lots to see and do. Buffet breakfast which sets you up for the day and about an one hour from the Channel tunnel. A recommended stop for either one or several nights.
We were very pleased with our accommodation at La Surprise, it really was a surprise. The view across Etaples on to port and the sea from the sunny terrace were very interesting and ever changing. Flo was chatty and attentive and entertained us at breakfast with her sailing experiences on her yacht, the ‘Lizard’.
Flo can speak a little English but I am sure she appreciates her guests speaking some French to her.
The staff of the hotel is great! Very helpful and caring.
Our room didn't have a confditioner but was still cool after the day heat. So do not worry.
Cleaning was perfect.
If you travel by car it's an ideal place to stay to explore the area around.
For those withourt a car - there is a bike rent 10-min walk away. (Near the museum)
Buses are not frequent in the area.))
We stayed here last year so we knew what the Hotel was like; great location, clean and comfortable rooms, friendly staff and at breakfast you could eat outdoors. There are many shops and restaurants nearby and various nautical themed shops and places of interest. The Manageress/ Owner was very helpful and friendly.
Really charming house, very well equipped with all essentials.. Lovely quiet stop but very close to the supermarket, Le Touque and Etaples. Really easy to warm up the house, heaters in all rooms. The beds were very comfortable.
Convenient for Calais ferry, friendly and helpful staff, nice clean room. We frequently use this hotel as you can walk quickly into Etaples for a meal. Good market on Tuesdays and Fridays and a pleasant place to wander round.
Had no complaints. Staff very friendly and helpful. My general feeling is that it is run like a family hotel rather than a more professional but impersonal type of hotel belonging to a hotel group, which is good.
The staff were very accommodating when we needed two rooms at short notice, the hotel is well situated for Etaples or a short drive to Le Touquet.

Great location - quiet, short walk to bars and resteraunts and great for touring Etaples and surrounding area. All facilities needed for self-catering stay. Nice touches around the apartment.
