The position is close to the center, not to the coast; breakfast was very good and abundant. The room was big enough for 1 person. Very quiet place.

For us the location was perfect - right opposite the station and the bus stop. (We also discovered that all buses in Dunkirk are free!) The hotel team were friendly and really helpful. They allowed me to stash my own packed lunch kit in their fridge e every day, which saved my life. The rooms were clean, the beds large and comfy.
Close to the beach and the town centre, l'Hirondelle provides comfortable accommodation and a warm welcome in the heart of the seaside resort of Dunkerque.

This hotel is situated on the Dunkerque waterfront, a 10 minutes’ walk from the train station and a 10 minutes' drive from the beach.

The location is good - (walking) 10mins from a diner, 15mins to the beach and museum and 15/20mins into the town.
The apartment has the basics and was clean
Secure parking offered - but the ramp in is very steep!!
Onsite bar reasonable price for Prosecco but on our stay, beer wise they said the draught was off due to a refrigerator issue so had to buy the more expensive bottled beers?!
We travelled to Dunkirk to visit the WW2 evacuation beaches.
We travelled to Dunkirk to visit the WW2 evacuation beaches. We stayed for 2 nights so that wehad a full day and it was perfect to give us time to wander around with no rush. If we had had time it would have been nice to maybe stay an extra night and pop into Belfium.

The Port Museum (Musee Portuaire) was very interesting and give a great insight into the history and development of the port both past and present. A good number of old master seascapes and some model ships were exhibited. Another good and interesting museum is the one on Operation Dynamo - the Battle of Dunkirk and the subsequent evacuation. This was very thought -provoking. The beaches (linked to the evacuation) at Malo-les-Bains are wonderful.

Small city, not too much to do but just enough.
Small city, not too much to do but just enough. Able to spend time on the beaches and go to museums. Many options to go out for a drink or dinner, highly recommend eating at Moon shiners. Centre is quite compact so everything is walking distance.

For war history enthusiasts, Dunkerque is a must!
For war history enthusiasts, Dunkerque is a must! It's steeped in history.
Lots to see and within a relatively small radius.
Very easy to get further afield too, with Bruges being just an hour away aswell as easily accessible to Lille and other places of interest.
Excellent ferry service with DFDS and only 30 minutes drive to the centre.
There are street markets and some lovely bars and restaurants. Our favourite became Woll Street, with the fabulous Julian and team on hand, very friendly, great menu, outside and inside seating and a happy hour for drinks at the weekend. They even made a dish which wasn't on their menu for me and allowed me to buy some delicious pastries at a nearby bakery and eat them at the bar!
Buses are free and an excellent service.
The tourist information office is located in the beautiful Belfry and they are super helpful.

A wonderful experience.
A wonderful experience. Our room on the 4th floor was fantastic! Beautiful sea view. Really delighted with our room, bathroom and facilities. The pool was very luxurious and relaxing. I’d love to come back and will do. Location was just beautiful!
The room was spacious and clean and the view was delightful. The bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I have slept in. Parking was safe and easy to access.
Staff are polite, friendly and helpful
Cannot fault them at all.10 out of 10.
Continental breakfast was fresh and plenty to set you up for the day.
The location could not be more central. close to the sea front, restaurants, bistros cafés and the main shopping centre.
Yet the location was quite.
We will be staying in the hotel again, most definitely.
Room was very large, well appointed. Modern furniture with a little kitchenette and breakfast table with chairs . Elevator access. Overlooked a large, enclosed garden. The hotel breakfast kitchen area was large and clean. Our room rate included a hot breakfast. The breakfasts were cooked to order. Friendly and helpful staff. Location was in the middle of town, very easy to walk through the town. Within walking distance to Dunkerque War Museum. We would stay here again.
Very good hotel for business stays. Unfortunately their Satellite does not work, 3 different rooms, 3 stays, no international channels like BBC or CNN worked, and satellite all together went off all the time.
Internet does not always work well in all rooms either I realized, but besides that a good hotel, very friendly staff
The property is very modern, cozy and super clean with comfortable beds and good equipment.
WiFi works perfect. The location is wonderful. It is quite, and at the same time close to the beach and restaurants, shops, etc.
The owner is very friendly and ready to help when needed. We really enjoyed our stay in Dunkerque.
The hotel offered a quick continental breakfast. We overslept because of the time difference and they still allowed us to eat, which was nice. The room was comfortable and so were the beds. We were traveling with two teens and they each had their own bed. The room was quiet and dark.
We thought it was a cheap hotel but turns out it was a youth hostel. The staff were brilliant and because we were traveling as a family, we all had a great time because everyone was catered for. Loved the location... 5 minutes to the sea. Loved the freedom the older children could have.
Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location right on the beach. Room had an amazing sea view with a lovely large bed with top class bedding and a fabulous en-suite. Parking was available on site and the staff were excellent and really friendly. I would definitely go back and recommend.
this is a super hotel that looks like it has recently undergone a refurbishment to a high standard. The twin USB points next to the bed was a bonus, given all the IT stuff we all carry around these days. very comfy beds and good bathrooms.Breakfast was good also.
I always like the 24h checkin desk - it is a big help if arriving late.
Buffet breakfast always good at IBIS too.
Hotel is a little away from the centre-ville area, but there are restaurants etc in the area.
Close to the Operation Dynamo musée and beaches.
The bed was very comfortable. I had one of the best sleeps for long time. The room itself was clean and comfortable. The staff was super helpful and friendly. The hotel is right beside the station, which is convenient if you are taking early morning train.
The most wonderful place to stay I’ve ever have. Everything VERY nice organized and the owner together with administrator were taking care about us as like about their own guests and not like in hotel. That’s amazing!
Lovely room, extremely comfortable bed and huge bathroom. The hotel is in a fabulous location near the sea and the pub downstairs is fun too. The staff were very friendly and welcoming - we will definitely be back.
