The property is an old meal converted to a guest house and run by two generations of a family. The building and setting is rustic but the interior is beautifully furnished and the bedrooms are great. The food was excellent, with home made produce, beautifully cooked fresh food and presented so well. The Chateau des Charmes is a stunning mansion set in beautiful grounds. Our room was really special, very quiet spacious & restful. The bed was large & extremely comfortable. Our host & hostess were friendly, charming & a mine of information on things to do & see in the area. They kindly booked a table for us in a super restaurant called Mange et tais-toi in a nearby village - it is highly recommended. We had a really good night's sleep - the luxurious sheets deserve a special mention. Breakfast was absolutely delcious. Our hostess even made a fresh fruit salad for us! Our hosts mentioned that guests often arrive as clients but leave as friends & it certainly felt like that to us as we set off on our long drive home. . The Chateau des Charmes is highly recommended.
