It was just perfect for us. It’s a quiet neighbourhood but surrounded by supermarkets, restaurants, gas stations, bus stop… And really close to Lyon. The flat was nice, really comfortable and has got every commodity that you need. Even a private parking lot for the car! And the owner and her daughter were very kind to us, always in touch while we were on our way and when we left the property too. Amazing!

I could find the property easily. Even though nobody was present at the moment when I arrived, I managed to reach the landlady on the phone. They key of the studio flat had actually been left on the door. The landlord turned up minutes later.

You have to be aware that this is a conference hotel, the type of place that businesses choose to take their teams for "offsite meetings" where they talk about <insert dry topic here> and have bonding experiences in the bar. As such, it's a hive of activity with lots of people holding ad hoc meetings in the public spaces, such as the bar and breakfast room. As a 'tourist', you feel somewhat second class to the bulk of their business clientele. The room was clean and fairly spartan, but with all of the amenities needed to spend a couple of nights, as we did. The staff were all very helpful and attentive and we got the impression that they worked very hard to make the place as welcoming as they could within the circumstances. The building is impressive, with obviously cloisters and a large quad in the middle, plus it's right next door to the old Roman amphitheatre, which is a must see.

Nice swimmingpool and good sized family-rooms with small fridge. We had a room next to the garden so the kids could just go to the pool. Very friendly staff who were very welcoming.
