What didn't we like! The food was 5 star and would definitely recommend to book for the evening meal. This was the best food we ate in France and such good value, Nico is an amazing chef! We were on a road trip and this place was the highlight for us, such great hosts.

The property is stunning and being just outside of Cordes-sur-Ciel means it is both relaxing and out of the way, but close enough to the Medieval towns to keep you busy with things to do and places to see.
The breakfast was perfect, the pool is well kept and ideal for when the weather is nice. Both Patricia and Phillipe were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home.

Lots of small boutiques and eateries set in a quaint hilltop town. A few museums, but mostly just galleries and shops with friendly proprietors and good walks around the town and to nearby towns. Our host Muriel was wonderful recommending places to see and restaurants both in Cordes and in nearby towns.

Cordes sur ciel is a lovely medieval town full of artists studios and galleries along with shops selling clothing and other items. Thers's also the museum of Chocolate and Sugar at the top of a long cobbled roadway up, up, up. There is a road up the outside of the town with parking along it but I would recommend climbing the cobbled street at least once.

Beautiful medieval village with open views over surrounding hills. A must see place. Walking the streets of the old village in the evening with no people around you let you immerse into a passed time.
Good small restaurants with quality food and drinks.

We enjoyed walking up and down the cobblestone streets even though they were steep. The shops and shopkeepers are welcoming and friendly and the Auberge des les Halles and les Arcades were both good places to eat. We ate a magnificent dinner at Jardin des Saveurs at the bottom of the hill where new chef began as of 1 June 2023. Best dessert of my life. We did not have a car and will drive next time so we can visit the surrounding area.

The village of Cordes sur Ciel is arguably the best of the many mediaeval hilltop towns we visited in the Tarn area of Occitaine. All have stunning views and different layout dictated by the shape of their particular hilltop however Cordes sur Ciel has less modern building around it's ancient heart. Also there were more places open, in September at least, than some of the other similarly stunning citadels.

Beautiful historic setting.
Beautiful historic setting. Host is an amazing and so welcoming, making sure that your stay in the town is memorable. Breakfast is small but of good quality and served at a wonderful terrace overlooking the countryside next to Cordes-sur-Ciel (if the weather allows it of course). Free parking ticket for parking right outside the hotel (street parking, not private).

A stunning small appartment with everything you need. It's like a little home away from home. The place is absolutely immaculate, tastefully decorated, and stocked with kitchenware, books, wifi, brochures, and breakfast in the fridge! The table was even set for us. Dominique was a fantastic hostess, warm and welcoming. We had a great night in Cordes, which is one of the most beautiful places I have seen in France. I highly recommend this gite for your stay. Merci Dominique!
wonderfully situated with panoramic views of the Tarn Valley, and a fine stately house that was much more ‘home’ than hotel especially given the attention to service that Paul the host put in and the comfort of the sitting and dining rooms. Eating breakfast on the terrace given the warm Autumnal weather was a bonus . Bedrooms with great linen and very comfortable meant 2 nights of good sleep despite the impact of fine French red wine
The hotel is really stylish, authentic and comfortable. Classic Cordes/Bastide architecture with a beautiful 300 year old Wisteria in the centre courtyard. Stephane communicated very quickly with answers to our questions and gave us a warm welcome. He was very helpful directing us to the free parking, and his team kindly served us some supper after hours as we were delayed on our arrival. Great continental breakfast.
We loved our stay at Dominique’s! The apartment was lovely, comfortable, and really well appointed. The location was perfect to explore the wonderful town of Cordes-sur-Ciel. Dominique was exceptionally kind and welcoming. She explained all the facilities, gave us great recommendations, and had even provided yogurts, milk, tea, coffee etc. We couldn’t have asked for more! Thank you!
Beautiful historic hotel close to the city center of Cordes-sur-ciel at a quite street. Host is very welcoming and goes great lengths to make sure that you have a pleasant stay. Small but good quality breakfast served at a wonderful terrace if the weather allows it. Free parking ticket is provided at check in, parking spaces at street outside of hotel.
Highly recommended!
Nico was an amazing host - so welcoming & being multi-lingual was great for us. Hotel is in a great location with parking just 100 metres down the road & hidden gems nearby including a craft brewery ! They’ve combined the antiquity of the place with stylish modern touches & upgrades. Delicious 3 course dinner & breakfast prepared by Chef Nico capped off a wonderful stay.
I could not have asked for a better place to stay while in the south of France! Waking up here was like being in a fairy tale. Go for the views but stay for the amazing hospitality that Paul and Daniel offered. I can’t wait to come back here again. Just hoping it’s sooner rather than later.
We had an absolutely amazing time. The rooms were spotless, with great bed sheets. The breakfast was variety of options. The host were attentive and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable and helpful for suggestion on day trip to unique small towns and restaurants.
Well positioned hotel /Chambre d'hote by town gate. Breakfast fresh but had to be pre-choosen due to COVID restrictions. Massive room, suitable for a family. Lovely staff.
Restaurant was not open on day of stay, but others are available in the main season within walking distance.
The location, hotel facilities, staff, restaurant and breakfast were all excellent.
The staff were friendly and attentive and could not have been more helpful.
The food in the restaurant was first class and some of the best we ate while in France.
Excellent hotel at the top of this beautiful town. The host was delightful and we had lots of laughs. She was very accommodating of our attempts at speaking French and provided good direction for dinner and sites. Breakfast was delicious.
The host gave us a tour of her lovely home from the renaissance. She gave us tips about town, the nearby cities and made us a wonderful breakfast with homemade croissants and jellies.
The hotel was so convenient to the parking lot and old town! The staff were friendly and the meal we had was excellent. The view of the surrounding area was beautiful.
