This is the kind of warm, welcoming, traditional French hotel that I love. The staff are delightful, the food is outstanding and it has a sort of rare, indefinable something that really makes it special. The same family has been running it successfully for 120 years - they're clearly doing something right.

Location is fabulous. We arrived late evening and found it difficult to find but this was the only down. Full of characters property. Exellent service. Clean and comfortable. Enjoyed every second staying there. We travelled with our small dogs. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming.

We had a lovely stay at Domaine des Maillets. We stopped for 2 nights for a rest on our journey driving to Spain. It was perfect for us as a family of 5 as we could all stay in 1 room and it was really spacious. The room was spotlessly clean and the beds very comfortable.
The location is peaceful with lovely rural views. Our children loved the hot tub and games room and our youngest made friends with our host's sheep. There is also badminton and a selection of games in the room.
Breakfast was French style and a real treat with amazing home-made gateaux and crepes.
Our hosts were very friendly and helpful with excellent communication and lots of advice on places to visit.
The village has a bakery and small shop and is nice for an evening stroll. The surrounding countryside is pretty with some beautiful rivers and gorges.
We would definitely stay again next time we are heading South.
