The ibis Budget Mâcon Sud is 8 minutes from the city centre by car and less than 5 minutes from the A6 and A406 motorways. The hotel offers free WiFi and a 24/7 reception.
We stayed in the twin-bed room with disabled access on the ground floor. It had everything needed for a short stay. But, the best about this hotel is the restaurant and personnel. At last, a gourmet restaurant that lived up to its name. Great food and service. The continental breakfast was also very good. The public rooms of the hotel were all very tastefully designed. Secure parking on site was an added bonus.
The staff at this hotel are exceptional. We arrived on foot and the restaurant next door was closed so the wonderful chap on reception offered us a choice of meals that he could prepare in the microwave. The hotel didn’t have to do this, it was a kind and resourceful gesture. The meal was very good!
This hotel has become a regular of ours whilst visiting the Southern part of France. The hotel, gastronomic restaurant and staff could not be better and it is very good value for money and we will be definitely staying here again.
