The hotel is a 20 minute walk from the train station away and a 5 minute walk from the next bus station for Rennes (which is on the opposite side of the road as the bus takes a turn in the roundabout). The journey into Rennes takes some time with the bus. The staff was nice and multilingual. The breakfast was good. The room was clean and big and newly furnished when I arrived. When I visited the establishment construction was underway. Everything was renewed and in very good condition. However some work equipment and material was still on the premises and caused a bit of dust (on the stairway and entrance).
Located just 5 minutes from the centre of Rennes on the ring roads allowing easy access to all key locations, Hotel Mercure Cesson offers 4-star accommodation with free WiFi and private parking.

Clean. Recently updated, very tastefully done. Fridge (very small but better than none) in room a real plus and a surprise.

Perfect location for an overnight stop en route through France. Good bar, friendly staff, comfortable bed and breakfast smelled amazing, although we didn’t have time to have it!

Reception very helpful, gave us an upgrade so that we had more room for the wheelchair and located handily for the lift to bring luggage in. Car parking also worry free. Supermarket a short walk away.
Set in Cesson-Sévigné, 5.2 km from République Metro Station, Rennes and 5.4 km from Les Champs Libres, Appart 65 m² 10 minutes en bus au centre offers air conditioning.
It was a great overnight stay. Not many choices to eat nearby but we walked to the mall (it was closed because of the time we arrived) and there was a buffet style restaurant which suited us and our friends perfectly.
Very clean and tidy hotel. Spacious room and massive bathroom. Coffee machine was great and they had all the amenities that other hotels in the same price range often leave our (fridge, crockery, pots/pans etc.)
Location is slightly further out from Rennes city centre but is close to two metro stations which we used and found to be an incredibly efficient service to get in and out of the city.
This is a great choice of the hotel for those who travel by car - really excellent value for money. Hotel is 4 star, modern, well-equipped, with a very nice personnel and a good breakfast. I was also nicely surprised by the size of the room, as I expected it to be smaller.
Nice, modern hotel. Inexpensive, therefore the compromises (location, breakfast) are acceptable. What really counts is OK. Own parking lot, free of charge, helpful staff. We were satisfied.
I did not like Ibis Budget.Hotel is dirty.Ants in bedroom.Breakfast not worth the money.Would never stay there again.Location is perfect but not hotel.
