The Pressoir cannot be recommended highly enough - it is a restored walnut mill in the centre of the historic village of Cardaillac, about 10 km from Figeac. The interior is full of beautiful old features, yet our room had a super modern bathroom and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was superb - on one of our days the hosts even baked an apple cake specially for us, and there are fresh croissants, bread, home made jam, local cheese and butter, fresh fruit and home made yoghurt. The hosts couldn’t do enough for us, and we had some great conversation in a mixture of English and French.
There’s easy parking a few metres away, and village is great to explore.

Superb property in every way, from the rooms, to the gardens and the location
Hôtel Le Quatorze is located in the heart of Figeac. There is a garden and a terrace and some parts of the building date back to the 13th century.

The 2 people that worked at the reception desk were superb. They helped us with transport to Rocamadour , and for baggage transfers, etc. They were both so kind and informative. Also the breakfast was excellent…. Probably the best we’ve had in our 2 weeks of walking the GR65.
