Basic but sufficient for my purpose. The bathroom was small but clean and the shower worked well.
Set in the rural Aveyron countryside, in the village Plaisance-sur-Rance, Les Magnolias is a charming, small and historic hotel.

The property exceeded my expectations
Bike storage in garage
Large nice cool room in annex building (patio area between this and hotel building)
Actual hotel was wonderful inside
Pool area extensive and south facing 👍
Breakfast excellent
A must is the restaurant
The flavours and menus on offer (using local produce) beats most top end restaurants I’ve dined at.
Some evenings closed so check details before booking
Oh, and the staff were so welcoming and helpful 😊

The town (of about 25 residents) and the hotel are from a different era, a nicer one. Very welcoming staff and a restaurant that is the gem of the region. It has quite a few tables and it is always full. Food is Great, prices are very fair and you can tell that people from neighboring towns come here regularly. The hotel and restaurant are family run and you can tell their commitment to service. The room was very clean and has all you need for a nice rest after driving around in the area or visiting medieval towns, like this one. The big extra was coming to the room, opening the window and having the castle right in front, magnificent view. You can hear the water of the river that runs next to the hotel and it is quite soothing. Very calm at night, lovely place to relax. Thanks!
