Romane was super friendly and a lovely host. She spoke good English which was very helpful as our French isn’t that great. The corridors and breakfast rooms were bright and airy, were well decorated and clean with some beautiful plants. The bedding and towels were clean and the bed was comfortable. There was plenty of hot water in the shower. We booked a basic room and it looked like there were some new fittings in the bathroom (toilet, washbasin and mirror).

This is located very close to the train and a short walk to the old section of town. A very nice room. And helpful staff. We were able to leave our bags there at 9:30 in the morning and spend all day in town.
Cahors is a nice little city. There isn't much spectacular to see or do, but it kept me busy for a day. The medieval bridge is nice, the cathedral was worth a visit, and it's nice to walk next to the river that encircles the city.
Keep in mind, on Sundays, nearly everything is closed. Even finding a restaurant for dinner was a struggle. I wonder if the locals even eat on a Sunday...

Cahors has a great train station and plenty of buses. The town has everything you need and more. It is right on the River Lot. A great base to then explore vineyards, boating, beautiful villages. Cahors has a wonderful indoor market.

The Sat nav details on booking.com are still incorrect. Another guest complained about this on booking com in Sept 2021and hotel said they would correct it. Still not done. Makes for a stressful beginning to an otherwise good value overnight stay.

Cahors is a lovely old town which was great for an overnight stop. However, don't go on a Sunday or Monday as most places are closed, especially in the old town which was the part we were mainly interested in. Had a fab meal in L'Auberge restaurant in the old part of the town. We had to google restaurants that were open Sunday evenings and this came up. It was really lovely.

A mixed bag of history as well as awful functional modern box architecture from the 1970s -1990s. The main part of the historical centre is treelined and pleasant to sit. Great if you are a red wine buff.
Lovely old hotel close to the old town, our room overlooked a pedestrian street and the old tower next door, so was very quiet. Comfortable room and facilities and a short walk into the centre of the old town and river walk. Lots of great restaurants around and we were given lots of recommendations of the different styles etc. We were there Saturday morning and there is a big market by the cathedral with was filled with local produce.
We didn't have breakfast there as wanted to try out places in the town but it looked very nice.
We had a room with a lounge area as well as a bedroom. Both rooms and the bathroom were spacious with high ceilings, typical of this age of hotel. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was very good and the staff were excellent. There was free on-site parking but with limited spaces.
