Château "Le Castel des Anges" is simply stunning! We booked a one night stay enroute to Saumur, allowing us to rest from our drive to LeShuttle and enjoy some wonderful French hospitality. We we're disappointed! Sandrine and Dominique have created the most beautiful home and their hospitality is first class! The whole Chateau is filled with surprises,, with so much to explore in all the amazing rooms. We arrived early and spent a couple of hours exploring Montreuil before checking in, then went back there again in the evening for a wonderful meal at Le Pot du Clape. After a peaceful and comfortable night's sleep, we were then stunned by the most delicious breakfast! Omelette, fresh croissant and various breads with home-make jam, a choice of fruit juices with tea or coffee, wonderful local fruits with yoghurt! Simply the best breakfast we've ever had when we've been travelling and it set us up perfectly for the long day ahead. We highly recommend staying here and we'll definitely be back again in the future - Merci Sandrine et Dominique!!

The house is immaculately clean, well provisioned, and warm. A lot of thought has gone into what visitors will need and enjoy. Great shower, and a huge garden with a pond. We'll happily stay again soon.

What a superb little gem of an hotel! The room is fabulous and comfortable and spotless, the food at the restaurant is delicious, the breakfast set us up for the whole day. The hosts, Aurelia and her partner, were so welcoming to us - my son of 7 loved it. They made us feel so at home and even the dog was super comfortable. We’re travelling for 4 weeks but could cheerfully have stopped here for so much longer. There are not enough good things to stay
