The house is situated in a rural, peaceful location. We were very warmly welcomed by the hosts. They kindly provided us with an evening meal, vegetarian at our request, which was absolutely delicious and very good value. Breakfast was equally good with bread from a local boulangerie and home-made yogurt, jam and cake.

Very charming hotel in a lovely location. Very pleasant and accommodating owners. Parking very easy and no problem getting secure parking for e-bike. Room lovely with comfortable bed. Fascinating location on the Seine with constant interesting traffic up and down.

The reviews about the lack of cleanliness prepared us for the worst, but it really wasn't that bad. In fact, we really enjoyed our stay! It is a castle that you get to stay in for a low price, after all. It's a bit like staying at your ancient French grandmother's castle who does the housekeeping herself and doesn't quite see the dust on the plumbing any longer.
By the way, we booked a room that said "shared bathroom" but it wasn't shared, it was for us to use exclusively, so that's cool as well.

If you want a break away from it all then this is perfect no wifi country scene all around you no traffic and just the sound of the bees this is the place to be. For a few days it's perfect.

Booked for a one night stay on my way back to England from the Alps. Wonderful place to stay. Veronique and Phillipe are wonderful hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them. Food for the evening meal was tasty and plentiful and breakfast was a selection of breads, jams, honey and plenty of coffee!!!! Hosts were attentive to needs of guests and conversation at the dinner table was an interesting mix of my limited French and their limited English. I love staying at eclectic Chambre D'hotes and this is certainly one that I will be visiting again later in the year. Thank you both for a memorable but all to short stay.
