Loved the property. Beautiful and well maintained. Our room was perfect and the owners were friendly, kind and helpful. The weather wasn’t great but would love to come back and use the pool next time as it looked gorgeous.

Great staff: Jack did not just speak English he was English, and his help was invaluable. The restaurant was high quality but expensive. Amazing 16th century fireplaces and great location by the river. In sunny weather it must be superb.

We arrived unplanned at this wonderful location after a previous booking at another establishment was totally unsuitable. Such a delight to see such a super place with very welcoming staff. We spoke both in French and English so it is great for guests who don't speak the language, to know that it is a bilingual hotel. The restaurant was fabulous, being sophisticated with very friendly staff offering a superb service. The food was exquisite for appreciative diners.
Had a newly refurbished bedroom, with very comfortable beds and a modern bathroom/power shower

We had a spa afternoon. The spa is absolutely beautiful. Hôtel very authentic and dinner was really lovely
This is a delightful hotel to stay in. The ambiance is excellent, the staff very friendly and helpful, and the dinner in the restaurant was one of the best we have experienced and enjoyed in an hotel. Breakfast was first rate too. The newly opened spa is, together with the 12 metre outdoor pool, a 'must'! The owner is a charming and extremely helpful person.

Stunning location.
Stunning location. Chateau was spectacular but also because it was a chateau it had its downside. I would return but would definitely book a room on the ground floor as anything above this was like a sauna! The dordogne is well accustomed to temperatures in excess of 30 degrees so should have provisions in place to offset this. Beautiful food and friendly staff. Pool area and spa fantastic.
The ambience of the hotel is wonderful, and staying at Chateau la Cote was memorable. Breakfasts were good, we differed over the enjoyment of the dinner. The bathroom was fine though sometimes the "hot" water was only tepid (which wasn't a big problem as the weather was hot!). It must be a challenge to operate such a place and we appreciated the staff.
The building is impressive, in fact breathtaking and the restaurant is very good, we cleaned our plates the two nights we stayed there, the waiters were nice. The location, at night you can touch the stars. 7 minutes by car there is a little town called Bourdeilles, stunning where there are little hotels and a couple of restaurants.

The style and the unique location which seem immediately bring me back to the time when I was reading classic novels!
The staff members are all very polite and helpful!
The value is so surprising: even cheaper than many ordinary hotels!
The stay is unforgettable, and I hope to come back soon!
A really beautiful hotel with lovely grounds in a peaceful location. The room was really nicely furnished and the public rooms very impressive. The breakfast was excellent and served by a very helpful lady - thank you.
