Located about 20 min walk from the center, we were a small group of 3 on motorcycles, so the walk after a long ride was welcome, we all thought it was ideally situated for our needs

Apart from Beynac-et-Cazenac is so beautiful and interesting place to stay there are lots of other things to do and see, such as visiting castles, hiking, taking a boat on a river, canoeing and just visiting other nice little towns and villages with an excellent views! You can easily stay there 2 weeks and it’s still may not be enough to visit all spectacular places around.

We visited Beynac in the middle of the summer holidays, it was as if hell had broken loose, so many people, so many cars, buses and so on. Besides that it is a wonderful destination, next time we will try to avoid the 'high season'.

It was a beautiful small town to relax in and there were also some lovely attractions. The Beynac Castle was the highlight and many chateaux are in the area. There were enough small shops and restaurants to visit and all in all it was a lovely stay. We were there for 3 nights but could have spent longer in the area.

Beynac is a nice base for exploring the majestic Dordogne region. La-Roque-Gageac, Castelnaud, Domme, and Sarlat are all within 10 km or so, and Beynac itself is a lovely riverside village.
You can't go wrong just about anywhere in the Dordogne, but you can definitely go *right* in Beynac.

Very pretty town on the river, the buildings are charming and full of history. The views from every part of the town are breathtaking as it is set upon the side of a big hill. It’s a steep climb to the top but well worth it for the view. Restaurants are lovely but all serve the same food which is very heavy (red meat, cheese etc). Quiet town, not much of a vibe so it’s perfect for a couple of days to relax, drink wine, canoe down the river and have as a base to explore other areas. Need a car to get anywhere else. Fantastic restaurant at a beautiful hotel in a nearby village called Monrecour.

Beynac-et-Cazenac is a beautiful mountainside town.
Beynac-et-Cazenac is a beautiful mountainside town. Small and welcoming and not too touristy You do need a car to get there and around. The Hotel du Chateau has a perfect location right across from a pay parking lot. Canoeing is right next to the Parking Lot as well as Hot Air Ballooning which I will maybe try next time. The restaurant du Chateau was excellent. And the Hotel has a small pool from which you can sun yourself and see the Balloons in the late afternoon. I'm already planning my return visit. Autumn I think would be beautiful.

It's a great period property, located very centrally in Beynac-et-Cazenac. Plenty of room, and it has a large garden with fantastic views over the village and the river. There is an open kitchen, and a small seating area with sofas and tv - we did not use those though as there is plenty to see in the county surrounding Beynac. A particular highlight were the caves (grottes) in Lacaves.
It is fairly easily accessed from souillac airport, traffic in September was pretty relaxed. Driving around and finding our way was easy.
The home was beautiful and so comfortable! Lorena met us and did a great job of orienting us to Beynac and suggesting restaurants and activities we enjoyed. The location was perfect with a private parking space and a view out of the bedrooms of Chateau Beynac.
The town is more quiet than some of the others on the Dordogne, but it was very peaceful and was in a good location to view cave painting sites.
We did not want to leave, but had to move on to our next stop. We will definitely be back.
This is one of our favorite accommodations anywhere! Large, clean, comfortable, nicely decorated, quiet apartment in the heart of our favorite Dordogne village. The view is fantastic from the small terrace, as well as from all windows. The second bathroom was a welcome surprise we weren't expecting! They have a private parking area for guests next to one of the public pay lots which makes coming and going very easy.
The staff was welcoming and friendly. One woman spoke quite a bit of English and we enjoyed her travel insights during breakfast each day. The beds were comfortable enough. Our family had two rooms and the hotel was great about putting an extra bed in my daughter's room for my granddaughter. The breakfasts were typically French with no meat and nothing hot, but good croissants and juice.
A really nice relaxing stay in charming hotel with genuine friendly staff, nice clean airconned room. The breakfast was very nice we both struggled a bit with the largest croissants we have ever seen!! A nice central location for visiting many places of interest and the views are magnificent, hope to return. Thankyou Hotel Pontet
This is the perfect stay if you are looking for some quite days to rest and connect with the nature. The hotel is a rustic house located in the middle of a beautiful field, the rooms are very comfortable, the stuff is really nice and the breakfast is also really good. Recommend it 100% and would love to come back at some point.
Fantastic location at the foot of a stunning architectural village, close to river and all attractions, great value for money. The hotel was really clean and great value for money. The staff were so helpful and friendly. A real gem of a place.
This was a beautiful place to stay with wonderful views over the valley and Beynac itself. The location was perfect with nearby hotel allocated parking which was convenient. Melissa was extremely helpful and this was a special place to relax.
Small room and the shower is tiny, no tea or coffee facilities in the room but it's clean, comfortable, the staff are friendly and you wont find a better village to stay in. Stunningly beautiful amd the hotel is situated in great location
Our window faced the Beynac castle. The view was wonderful, The place was very quiet
The room was very large. The hotel had an individual refrigerator, stove and microwave for each room.
Our hostess was very friendly and helpful.
Clean and tidy hotel with good sized rooms. Very clean.
The breakfast was good.
Super location by the Dordogne and was great for work. Restaurant on site, the food at which was lovely and reasonably priced.
We were worried the hotel office would be closed when we arrived much later than expected. But the door code and room key was waiting for us. Very clean, friendly staff, great breakfast.
