The owner (a biker himself) let me use a garage to park my motorbike. He instantly provided a cold beer on arrival on a hot day. My room was at the back of the property, which meant it was quiet even with the window open.

What a pleasure it was to stay here. Quirky, individually decorated room with comfortable beds -- overlooking the garden courtyard. Our hosts were incredibly welcoming, and I do urge you to book for the home-cooked dinner -- it was like being at a private dinner party: drinks in the garden with other guests, lively conversation (4 different nationalities present); and delicious 3 course meal. Such a friendly place to stay. Breakfast was also outstanding.

The apartment was absolutely brilliant, really clean, comfortable, and beautifully equipped, the bed is the most comfortable iv ever slept in! Tonnerre is a gem, a diamond in the rough. It has stunning views and the Fosse Dionne (A Hydro vent.) is definitely worth a visit, as is the many churches in this gorgeous ancient town.
