Clean, comfortable, dog-friendly, well located, very friendly people who have been there a long time. Secure parking too.
I have travelled in the Côte des Blancs area for more than 20 times, and this time I wanted to try something nearby Vertus. Stayed 1 night at this hostellerie, and everything went okay, but there was nothing special that would've given me the feeling I definitely want to go back.
Positive things:
- my bed was nice
- the breakfast was pretty good for the French standard
- the swimming pool was a big plus (after driving 300 km)
- parking facilities just next to the hotel
- quiet location
Nice spacious room with a balcony and ample parking. Lovely evening meal, served by efficient and friendly staff. Short drive to Epernay with its varied champagne houses which provide tours and Champagne tastings - we got to explore the vast caves beneath the Moet et Chandon Champagne House.
Hotel pool and sauna available for use up to 11pm, which we made good use of.
Would definitely return to this hotel.
Very well run hotel, with attentive and friendly staff. The restaurant was particularly good, although a little more than we would normally pay on an overnight stay, it was worth it. Eggs, bacon and sausage, along with all the usual continental options, for breakfast was very welcome. Air conditioning in a heatwave!
The hotel was good, room was a bit smaller than advertised but we were fine.
Most magnificent part of our stay was the dinner. very well cooked I assume with a very good Chef!!

In the heart of champagne country, this hotel oozes class. Big rooms with comfortable beds and well-appointed bathrooms. Private parking out the back (go all the way past the hotel and almost out of the village to reach it). Superb dining room and cuisine, including wine list of course!
Beautifully quiet village setting in the heart of the champagne region. Large room, really comfortable bed superb breakfast. So much choice of high quality products. Efficient staff. Not enough space for secure parking but public parking available adjacent to hotel.
