Daphnee at reception was lovely and kind it has made such a big difference after a long day. She was dealing with multiple check-ins as everyone seemed to have arrived at the same time.

I was there for only 12 hours. I stayed there when en route from Paris to Geneva, because accommodation in Geneva is very expensive. Bellegarde-s-V seems to be a very good centre for visiting Geneva, Annecy and other places.

I was just there for the night, to get an early start back to the UK from the Alps. The publicity for the area looked great and it could be a great place to walk in the summer being in the heart of the Jura.

Very hospitable hosts. On request in advance, they cooked us a special fondue for dinner. Inside it is a friendly and interesting building with much wood and stone, and few straight lines. The bedroom was large under a sloping roof. Quietly located at the very edge of town with attractive local walks on quiet roads. Conveniently close to the autoroute. If you are bored with standard boxy hotels, this is perfect place for you.
Directions were easy as there was a sign in the street, only a short walk from the railway station. Maggie checked us in and explained everything, she spoke English which made it easier for us! Yes the room was tiny, but it was fine for our night there. It was extremely clean. A continental breakfast was served, it had all the usual foods which we enjoy. We definitely recommend Hôtel Hermance.
It was well located for our o/night stop. Clean,redecorated, ensuite bathroom. Comfortable bed and pillows. Quiet. Fresh air. Views over mountains. Fantastic restaurant. Small bar area. Good breakfast. Easily accessible from motorway
