Easy to get to off the A road south. Worth a walk around the village as there is a good amount of historic interest.
Breakfast was self service with a good choice
Restaurant was excellent for an evening meal - typically french and good quality with good service.

The room was much better than expected. It was sheer luxury! The owner was very thoughtful and very friendly, he spoke perfect English. The garden and views is wonderful. The continental breakfast was very good and the host brought us milk for our coffee which is unusual in France! We plan on returning for a longer stay. Very fast broadband.

We enjoyed the property layout, nearby free parking, fixtures and fittings. The children especially enjoyed the lighting fittings on the staircase and hallways.

You have to bear in mind that it was an economy stay and as such we didn’t expect total luxury. What we did get was good value for what we paid. The beds were comfortable, the seats likewise and the 3 year old thought the glass floor in the bedroom above the living area was great. I would stay again quite happily.

At the beginning of our stay, our hosts went to special efforts to secure us a booking in a nearby restaurant for supper. They gave us a really lovely breakfast, too.

Cosy, quiet, isolated location with friendly English speaking hosts. Breakfast is served in the room and is fresh and varied. Second visit for me after a two year gap. All still to the same high standard.

The property was lovely - exceptionally clean, very spacious with good decor. It also had a pretty garden leading to the river bank. The hostess was very gracious and charming and provided a great breakfast. The river area was very pretty. We only stayed one night on our way to Ile de Re so didn’t get much chance to look around. There isn’t a lot in the village and if you’re there on a Sunday, as we were, there is only one restaurant open which did look good but we weren’t after a 3 course dinner. The suite has a well equipped kitchenette so if we’d have planned a bit more,we could easily have cooked for ourselves

If you are in the bungalow make sure you can manage the stairs, if you can't there is an easy solution by converting the bed settee in the very large down stairs space. Very comfortable. Excellent value for two people and four if a couple has no problem with the stairs. Lovely hostess gave us two masks because we were traveling to Spain and she knew about the virus scare. Such a kind and valuable gesture. It's things like this that distinguish a property and make it stand out.
