It’s unique! Behind the green door on 6 Rue Taillade is very interesting abode. Two floors of beautifully designed and decorated rooms arranged around an atrium that ascends to the roof giving a sense of space and light. On every floor the passage ways and landings display all kinds of paintings , drawings and sculptures. Clearly the home of an art lover to delights in sharing her house with visitors. You are made to feel most welcome.

Our family stayed for three nights at the Moulin de Laboirie. The property is well kept and located just outside of the historic town of Bazas: a very quiet location where nothing really happens (all restaurants in Bazas were even closed on the Monday we were there) and it is probably too far as a base if your purpose is to head to the beaches of les Landes or the Bordeaux wine country. The owners keep a large dog and are accommodating to other dogs, although for seven euros a night which was not clear from the listing on booking.com, and our dog played well with theirs in the mornings before it got too hot during the afternoons. We spent the first two days mostly off the property, including a wonderful trip (but long drive) to Saint-Emilion, and because extreme heat (41 degrees celsius) was predicted for the next day, we opted to stay another day to rest and recuperate by the pool and in the relative cool of the property's common areas. Breakfast is not bad, but certainly below par in comparison to similar B&B, lacking cheese, meat, eggs, or pastries, and instead consisting mostly of store-bought concentrated orange juice and yoghurt, baguettes and brown bread, butter, plum jam, and coffee and tea). There is no air conditioning. On the first night, when it was only slightly cooler (38 degrees), we were not even offered a fan, despite them being available. After we asked, on the second night, we got a fan and some type of water dispenser that did not do much to cool down the room in this heat, but we spent the second night somewhat more comfortable. There is a swimming pool, although the areas around the swimming pool would benefit from far more thorough cleaning.

Wonderful hosts, welcoming and helpful, providing a fantastic breakfast in our room. The house is delightful; the room was both a bedroom and sitting room. The bathroom modern and very well equipped. Bazas was a great stop-over on our way south, would absolutely stop with the family again.

One of the best places we have stayed at. Lovely welcome, water and biscuits in the room, spotlessly clean and everything nicely provided, we used the immaculate kitchen to make a meal and had use of the swimming pool. Set in a beautiful rural location, the local town Bazas is 15 mins away and has just about everthing that you could need. Thank you to our hosts and what a pleasure to stay with you
Beautiful old building, lovingly refurbished by the new owners. Lots of attention to detail with clean, artistic lines. The shower was particularly well-done: sparkling clean and spacious with two shower heads.
Comfortable, affordable accommodations in Bazas, which is a good halfway point when driving between the Mediterranean Sea
(Barcelona) and the English Channel (Dinan/Mont Saint-Michel). Free parking across the street.
An amazing building on the edge of Bazas's historic core, set inside its own extensive grounds and with an incredibly genial host this is a great way to experience a glimpse of chateau living for those not fortunate enough to be members of the French upper classes. The room was huge and high-ceiligned, with an airy lightness that carried through to the corridoors and shared areas outside. Breakfast in the salon was a delight.
A lovely ,comfortable ,big room with a good shower in the en.suite.Breakfast was very good with fresh orange juice, great coffee and whatever we wanted. The hosts were very welcoming and ensured we found a restaurant on a Sunday evening after a long drive...we were very grateful.
The location in Bazas is close to the beautiful cathedral and historique quarter.
Parking on site.
We will definitely return if in the area.
The little hotel is beautifully presented with the rooms so comfortable with beautiful bedding, excellent shower, and so immaculate. The owner, Fenella, was there to greet us in English! We were made to feel so welcome, so,safe, so well looked after. The breakfast was perfectly presented with coffee, croissants, orange juice and everything served with lovely French manners.
The property is quite impressive, a beautiful chateau with private parking and swimming pool. The host was nice, beds were comfortable, there's a TV in the room and the breakfast was nice too. It was a very hot day and we had arrived in Bazas around 2pm, so having the chance to go for a swim was very much appreciated.
Wonderful hosts, welcoming and helpful, providing a fantastic breakfast in our room. The house is delightful; the room was both a bedroom and sitting room. The bathroom modern and very well equipped. Bazas was a great stop-over on our way south, would absolutely stop with the family again.
We loved both the outdoor and indoor swimming pool! We really were looking for a relaxing experience and this hotel achieved that! We also enjoyed the nice breakfast with beautiful views of the swimming pool, and there were plenty of other activities and games available
I did not take breakfast . The hotel is in a park which is impeccably kept with a great variety of plants and ancient trees . It is lovely just to walk around and enjoy . The staff is very welcoming always ready to assist and make your stay very special .
the breakfast was excellent and the owner was very helpful and nice
They are very pet friendly and welcomed our dog. Parking in the public car park was free and across the small road at the front of the hotel
We shall certainly stay again
Very tastefully renovated hotel well located near the centre of Bazas and cafés / restaurants. Very nice breakfast. Very helpful English speaking staff. Good secure place to leave my bicycle.
The chance to stay in a spacious and well appointed series of rooms in a historic house at the heart of Bazas. The garden and the view from the bedroom windows were also magnificent.
Perfect location near the Bazas centre, with a lovely cathedral. Beautiful castle and very quiet surroundings, big garden (and a swimming pook, which we didn't use).
