The receptionist didn't speak English at all but we managed nicely. The room was clean, a lot of space, hot water in the shower, superb location, not too noisy at night.

Bastia is a gorgeous village and very close to Saint Florent as well airport and a beautiful beach near the airport. We aren’t museum people but it was really very interesting in the citadel… worth a visit and free in the off season. Perhaps just a few days in Bastia would be sufficient and then head further south to explore.

City port with pretty historic center, main square, smaller port surrounded by the restaurants. Streets with the shops, cafes, good to stay for day or two. For everybody who likes the history, boats, shops, cafes and restaurants. Several public parking places (garages) are helpful, parking in the center is not easy, especially with the bigger car. Good shops with local deli.

Bastia is an interesting city. Lots to see and do.
Bastia is an interesting city. Lots to see and do. The train journey to Ajaccio is four hours, but it’s worth doing for the stunning scenery. Apart from that there isn’t much public transport in Corsica, so it’s not easy to explore the island with a vehicle.

A nice city with a tree lined main square the citadel was beautiful and a must to visit. The port areas had some lovely restaurants and bars. Some parts of the town are a little scruffy with graffiti but unfortunately it has become expected in most cities today, just sad it spoils some of the old quaint streets.
Plenty of buses and taxis and a main train station.
Some parts are steep for walking .
Felt safe and people were friendly,

Bastia is a busy ferry harbour city.
Bastia is a busy ferry harbour city. It is a gateway to Corsica. It has several nice pedestrian only streets with plenty of shops and places to eat. It is fine for a night or two as you enter / exit Corsica (ferry or plane) it is a good hub for onward travel (bus and train) but it is not a holiday destination. There are no beaches within walking distance of the city centre.

This is not a holiday destination for those who like to laze on a sandy beach. It is a very beautiful mountainous island full of history, with its small towns that seem to cling to the sides of the mountains, its ancient buildings that look like they are crumbling, it's narrow winding streets with steps everywhere, its lively restaurants and bars that are a mixture of Corsican and Italian and a sea that is one minute like a mill pond and quite wild the next. The views are breathtaking, and the people are very friendly and proud of their heritage. It is a wild unspoilt place where the language is often Italian, the food has a very italian influence and the people are really kind. The town of Bastia is quite small so take the coastal train or bus. It is possible to visit the whole island in 2 weeks and well worth it.
We stayed only for one night at the end of our holiday in Corsica.
The staff let us use swimming pool and beach even before the check-in time (we arrived at noon)
Swimming pool is small but very pleasant.
Sea view is superb during both afternoon and morning time.
All rooms on the sea side are provided with a small terrasse. The rooms are modern and very clean, beds are very comfy.
Location is perfect if you need to catch your ferry: it's only 5min by car.
Free parking in front of the hotel is very useful.
Super views over the Mediterranean Sea and the villages on beautiful Cap Corse. The restaurant and service were outstanding - the head waiter even found our favorite vintage year, which was fantastic. You must absolutely make a reservation as the place is also popular with Bastia locals. They kindly remind you via booking.com, though. Pool is traditional and fitting the style of there house perfectly. Bar has a nice cocktail and beer selection. We had 18 minutes to the ferry in the morning.
Monsieur Miot is in a great location and ideally placed if, like us, you are taking an early morning ferry from Bastia port. It's not, however, a destination hotel, which is what we understood from the description and it really is not a 'boutique' hotel and does not come with any of the amenities traditionally associated with boutique hotels. For the room rates, I believe that breakfast should be included. The hotel works for a one night stay but no longer.
Basic hotel with a convenient location just 5 minutes from the port. Check-in possible late at night which is convenient if you come with the ferry. The staff didn’t speak English but not much communication was needed. The room is spacy and bed comfortable, but very basic, don’t expect any decoration or rugs, just plain floor tiles. The street is very busy and noisy, but nothing the hotel can do about that, just be prepared to hear the traffic.
Parking near the hotel is easy to find. The pool is excellent. The room was clean, with lots of storage/organization space, a fridge, relatively spacious shower, good water pressure. Bed was comfortable. Staff was nice and accommodating — I had gone all around Bastia looking for some fresh fruits on a Sun evening and couldn't find a store open, I asked if they had any left from breakfast and got 2 apples and 2 oranges :)
This hotel has an amazing pool and rooftop bar/restaurant with very tasty cocktails and dinner menu. A good vibe throughout with excellent customer service from wait staff, front desk, and back of the house! Beatrice was exceptionally helpful with tourist advice and is a rockstar hospitality specialist! I extended my stay because I was enjoying myself so much here.
We booked this for a night as we had an early flight from the airport the next morning. The hotel is located a short walk (<5mins) from the station (as well as the airport shuttle bus). It's also not far from the old town and harbour. The room suited our needs and the staff were friendly and allowed us to store our luggage when we arrived early.
Location excellent near the port and centre of town, 24 hour friendly, helpful staff. Large, renovated bathroom with working air ventilation system. The hotel also stored our luggage and provided a map with walking tour of Bastia for us to explore the monuments. There was an option to have breakfast served in our room.
This hotel is a true paradise! Everything is so beautiful, the flowers, the facilities, the rooms, this is a dream to stay here and start your holiday. I decided to stay another night in paradise, and that was no problem. It's one of the best hotels ever! Highly recommended 👌
The location is well suited to access both Bastia and the connecting roads but secluded enough to be quiet and peaceful. Despite the number of residents in adjoining buildings, the whole community is very nice and relaxed. Beds were comfortable and the apartment was spacious.
After arrival by Ferry, I spent the day on a circuit of Cap Corse, returning to Bastia. The weather was poor and not conducive to taking the 25 minutes walk from the hotel into the old city. Dinner in the hotel though was very good, as was the breakfast choice.
Incredible noisy… the Windows are so cheap, it is like as if there are none. We stayed in a Junior Suite and didn’t sleep at all as the hotel is next to a big street and a port with many parties.
Staff didn’t help, also no reimbursements or guestures
location was perfect for someone coming into town by bus or train and leaving or coming by ferry. close to everything (everything in Bastia is walking distance). the staff spoke many languages and were very helpful with getting city information
The location is good to go around Bastia, the restaurant is really good, and the terrace pool is such a cool place to chill. It gets a lot of sun.
The hotel is clean, the rooms are kept tidy and clean, and the bed is quite comfortable
We chose the hotel for its location which was close to the airport bus. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was an additional charge but worth it as the bread was delicious, the best we ate in Corsica.
Stayed here on way through Bastia. Arrived late evening ferry. Easily walked to the hotel. Welcoming host. Provided extra coffee (very important courtesy). Lovely newly refurbished rooms. Strongly recommended.
