The view was out of this world and was just beautiful and the apartment was very very clean. The people were also very accommodating and allowed us borrow an iron and ironing board . My only disappointment was the location. There was no shop near this apartment and we had to do approx. an 8 minute drive to get one.

We arrived quite late and the proprietor very kindly got us the last table for dinner seemingly in the whole town. There is no restaurant in the property itself (although they do a decent breakfast) - there is a very pleasant bar with a very friendly mountain dog. The room itself was very clean and the furnishings comfortable and appropriate to the price.

A small town at the upper end of the Maurienne valley. Apart from a seasonal bakery there are no amenities, though Modane is only ten minutes drive away.
The whole area is wild and very quiet except when the ONERA wind-tunnels are working - great if like a little science with your holiday.
