It was super welcoming, the pool was great (heated). Our bed was comfy, the shower great and we enjoined a terrific meal and bottle of wine on a Sunday night served by charming staff. We had thought if it as a stopover because we were taking the TGV back to Paris the next day and could park the hire car overnight for a stress free return BUT if I returned to Avignon I would choose to stay here over a hotel in the old town because it such good value, has such nice staff and a fabulous pool (and spa though we didn’t try that). The breakfast buffet was also amazing.

The hotel is new and nicely designed, the staff is very friendly and helpful, especially at the reception, there was Loanne and another guy I forgot the name, the room is big and big bed, really worth the money. The parking is big, protected and easy accessible from and to go anywhere. Nice pool too.

The historic Palais des Papes is one of the most significant medieval Gothic buildings in Europe. Set within a square with the same name, the Papal Palace is an important tourist attraction where you can see the pope’s private chambers and frescoes by Matteo Giovannetti.

Avignon was perfect for a two day / long weekend city break - so many stunning historic sites, museums and art galleries to visit plus great range of restaurants for every budget. Easily accessible on foot but fantastic free electric mini buses could transport the less able through the tiniest of pedestrian streets, no litter.

Interesting city and a good base to explore surrounding countryside and towns/sights. Very easy access from local train station. Good bars & restaurants and felt very safe to walk around in the evenings. Would recommend Avenio for dinner- great local cuisine with modern twist -reservation advisable.

Away from the main street there are some wonderful French restaurants. Lavender creme brulée is the best dessert I've ever eaten. Avignon is a great base from which to explore Arles, Aix, Beaucaire etc.
Really recommend the Pont du Nord. The view from the bridge is sensational and you can buy a beurre jambon, sit by the river and marvel at an amazing structure.
We went early September and I wish I'd packed fewer shirts and more t-shirts.
I'd also advise booking the upper level on the TVG. The view is so much better.

If you stay in the old city you can’t find anywhere to buy your own food. So there’s no point in an apartment unless you have a car and are able to visit the supermarket outside of the old city.
Everywhere is beautiful and there’s plenty to see.

We loved visiting this ancient, but vibrant city, however, it could have been spoilt by the amount and dogs and resulting dog poo not removed by owners.
There was also an abundance of homelessness and quite aggressive begging with no visible policing.
The Papal Palace and St Benezet bridge were extremely enjoyable and huge praise for the tourist office who arranged some fantastic tours during our stay.
Wonderful restaurants offering a good variety of menus and lovely wines.

Lovely city that feels quieter than others we visited along the Rhône. Papal Palace quite interesting as is the Carthusian Monastery across the river. Very convenient for day trips to Arles and Nimes.
Luxury feel and location. Great Host who is informative and serves bespoke breakfast. The structure is designed for hot conditions. Very Quiet and max of five couples. Electric charging point. Free ferry to Avignon ( 1 min drive or 15 min walk ) Great running routes. The wife of the Host cleans your room whilst you are having breakfast .A high range of extra touches. Very caring
Great place to relax and take a break from exploring the mideval cities of southern France. Small, but nice indoor pool and a beautiful garden (we were visiting in December, so did not spend time there, but ìt seemed it would be really inviting in warmer months).
Very good breakfast. We also had dinner at hotel restaurant and it was delicious.
This was one of my favorite vacation apartments in France. The location is super, next to Les Halles market + lots of restaurants and just a short walk into the restored area of the old town. The apartment had all the comforts of home, lots of extra details from wonderful hosts. Thank you!
The Hotel is situated just outside the old town and close to many tourist attractions. This is the big plus. Our suite was also huge and the beds were the best on our trip. We also had a roof-terrace which was nice.
