Lovely and the bed so comfortable - and then the breakfast …. I ate a whole weeks calories it was so nice. Could not recommend enough and this will be our stooping off place for Calais trip in future. Love it . And all I will say to the odd people who say “ eggs would be good” - “ owner doesn’t speak English” is go to Center oarcs . This place is fab

The house was really lovely with lots of character, clean and comfortable. There was a patisserie and boulangerie just up the road where we walked to get some cakes and then croissants in the morning. There was also tracks through the woods just up to the north which made for a nice 5KM running circuit. The host was really friendly too.

Very relaxing stay, good bed, good breakfast, very sympathetic lady of the house. We had dinner in St. Omer and Lillers which are not very far from Auchy au Bois. Made a visit to Coupole (St. Omer), very interesting and had a stop at just about every boulangerie.

We only stopped over for the one night stay.
We only stopped over for the one night stay. Cannot recommend it for any longer. Found the locals in the small bar we walked into to ask for directions very odd. They all stopped talking and looked at us as though we had just appeared from another planet! If one has no French then don't bother to ask. Fortunately we are French speakers!
