Relais et Chateaux La Bonne Étape, hotel in Aubignosc

Relais et Chateaux La Bonne Étape is a hotel located on the Napoleon road that runs from the French Alps to the Mediterranean Sea. Free WiFi access is available.

We arrived at La Bonne Etape after a long car ride - were feeling tired . This hotel had been selected as our " splurge " hotel as it had a Michelin star restaurant and was a Chateau and Relais hotel. When we arrived we were greeted outside the front doors by our wonderful host Stephanie. She was most welcoming - got us settled and made us a reservation for dinner at Cafe Gabby. It was so nice not to have to go out to find a restaurant - ate at Gabby twice. Our Michelin star meal was for our last night. Our room was spacious and had a lovely view of the pool , mountains and gardens.A carafe of water, biscuits and a lovely welcoming note were left in our room - a such a nice touch. Stephanie suggested what to do in the area and as well as walking trails close by.The public spaces were beautiful - filled with elegant furnishings and paintings. Our final dinner at Bonne Etape was beyond expectation - had wine pairings with the courses - amazing service, beautiful presentation on lovely serving dishes - very polished service. The Master Chef came around after the meal to see if we enjoyed our meal- an unexpected but very special surprise. Tuck in service in our room was appreciated each night with a special herbal tea and " jelly" candy! Tourist Brochure in the room was very handy. Huge fan of L'Occtaine - which was the toiletry product used.

Grand Hôtel du Cours, hotel in Aubignosc

Located in Sisteron City Centre, a 5-minute walk from the canal, Grand Hôtel du Cours is a 24-hour front desk hotel with a traditional restaurant, a bar and a terrace.

Excellent welcome from reception. As I booked the two rooms here the receptionist gave me a room upgrade. Superb suite which I wished we had more time to enjoy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Secure locked underground parking for our four motorbikes. Central location with the fort being a short walk away. Worth going to the fort as the views from the top are stunning. I would defiantly stay here again.

The Petite Maison was a true delight, cozy, comfortable and well located in the old neighborhood of Sisteron, short walking distance from the Citadelle and all facilities of the town. The attention to details was well appreciated throughout the house, coffee cups in the bedroom, cookies and chocolates upon our arrival. Marie is absolutely charming. We highly recommend this wonderful property in Sisteron.
