All good. I usually choose the hotels that are in summary ranked 8+ by travellers comments, this was an exception, and it was actually no difference with what I usually book.

The attractions - amphitheatre, etc. did not let us visit with our little dog; All the shops and restaurants did and were really kind and friendly to pets...but not the visitor attractions (although Italy is a very pet friendly place to visit. That was OK, we didn't have to spend the money on tickets, their loss.

Arles was an accidental surprise!
Arles was an accidental surprise! We went for a specific reason and stayed for pure enjoyment. The old town is very walkable and both historic and cute French, the Saturday market is ENORMOUS, LUMA was an unexpected joy (4 hours and we could go back), Van Gogh Foundation was great and I'm sure there is more to explore. We'll be back!

For me, Arles is one of the most interesting places to visit in France. With its 1st century Roman ruins, Van Gogh's history there as illustrated through many of his paintings, and the beautiful Carmargue horses and delta environment, there were so many wonderful things to do and explore. The highlight of my trip was at the Domaine de Mejanes restaurant where we magically enjoyed the music of two nephews from the internationally renowned band Gipsy Kings! As it turns out they are from Arles and the family performs often at restaurants in the area. We cant wait to return! One note - if you ride the horses in the Camargue area be sure to bring lots of mosquito repellant as the waterways are a natural environment for them.

Beautiful, walkable city retaining its character with numerous roman ruins and historic sites. Fun to explore tiny side streets and great restaurants. Watch out for the Mistral - you might need layers or a warmer jacket!

It doesn’t get so many tourists but tourist traps abound. But if you look selectively for a good restaurant you will find several and we had four outstanding dinners. It’s small but cozy and clean with lots of cute squares for tea or a drink. Several good museums and roman monuments. Four days is not too long.

The Easter feria is a good time to visit Arles, although food and service can be as low as 'poor'. Plenty of culture from Roman ruins to street bands. Excellent and elegant Museum of Arles. Wonderful street market on Saturdays with high quality goods. Shops, ranging from very high end local produce and clothing, to convenience stores, most open all (public holiday) weekend.
This is a fantastic hotel. It is in an old building almost next to the amphitheater in the old town. You could not ask for a better location. The room was exceptionally comfortable and clean. The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. There is also a sitting room for guests. We slept very well and it is very quiet at night. The centre of Arles is compact with museums and old buildings to visit. There are plenty of places to eat in a few minutes walk.
A wonderful hotel, extremely relaxing. Clean and even if our room was small, it was big enough for us and very nice. Great staff, everybody was so friendly! The outdoor area with garden, pool and chickens is amazing. It was very pleasant to have breakfast there and to chill afterwards. We were sad to leave and would come back to Arles to stay there again. :)
This is a family-owned hotel for nearly 100 years. It’s not the most modern- but it’s lovely, the staff is exceptionally helpful, they offer onsite parking which is unheard of, and the location in Arles literally cannot be beat! Wish the pool/terrace had been open but will have to come back in season!
The location of the hotel is excellent and if you did arrive by car the hotel offered support in accessing the restricted old town of Arles. It is a quaint old building with nice rooms. Staff very helpful in offering advice.
A very nice hotel in a great location for exploring Arles. The room was very spacious and comfortable. It was nice to be able to breakfast outside in the square.
