Marie-Claire was very welcoming and friendly, even though she was unwell and it was pouring with rain when I arrived.
The bedroom was very comfortable and clean and the bathroom was well-equipped (great shower) and also very clean.
I was able to store my bicycle in the locked courtyard.
Breakfast was good and there was plenty to eat.
Thouars is a lovely, old city, with some wonderful buildings and great views.

The property was very comfortable and well equipped for our short stay.it was great to have the use of the washing machine. My children particularly loved the swimming pool. A fly screen would have been welcomed and we were glad to find ant powder to deal with our uninvited guests! We thought the 500 Euro deposit was a bit excessive and having to pay in cash or Eurocheque was a bit off putting. Perhaps the owners could consider other forms of payment that would provide both them and the visitor some protection? (We did get our deposit back with no problems).
