1. Hosts Dominic & Lille really try to make one's stay as agreeable as possible. They are somewhat quirky but engaging. 2. My room had ill-fitting false wooden flooring, which creaked loudly when one walked about. 3. My toilet flush had a 'masher' fitted and the latter proved to be rather unpredictable ( unable to always flush away)! 4. A symptom of 3. (above) is that the smell could be overpowering from time to time. On some occasions it did work OK. 5.My breakfast was outstanding, including home grown produce. Excellent!

The location is excellent, the host is incredible kind and nice person, willing to help in anything you need. I had to take the train next day but was a strike from the train station workers so Alain drive me to the next city to take my train to Bordeaux and take my flight in time. This place is a little different, and I suppose it was its very quirkyness that first attracted us. It's a former cowshed, expertly converted by owner Stephane. He did an excellent job too, everything was done to a high standard, with impressive electronics and a heated swimming pool that we didn't have a chance to use. We saw no evidence of any other inhabitants on the site but Stephane, who had been away on business, called for a friendly chat just as we were getting ready to leave.
