Ugly dirty town. Better to go to other places where the local governments have cleaners and have improved the city, like Corse which is an amazing city. After being in Corse and then coming to Ajaccio it is a real disappointment.

I had the unfortunate experience of losing my iPhone at the start of my trip. The desk managers at the Hotel Kalliste were amazing!!! They worked tirelessly to help me locate my phone that was left in a taxi. Thank you to Ilme!! Thank you to Joanne!! Thank you to Thomas!! You all went above and beyond to help me locate my phone. Great sleuthing to all! I was able to retrieve my phone and carry on with my vacation stress free.

Ajaccio is a magical and beautiful town, full of life, beaches, and amazing restaurants. It is very accessible by foot, and the access from the airport is also quick and convenient. Locals (at least most of the people we engaged with while there) were helpful and kind. I am not sure how safe a city it is as I "lost" a very valuable watch, and I wonder if it was the act of pickpockets, or hotel staff, or it came lose (it has not in 15 years though.) That did leave me with a feeling of deep disappointment. That put aside, I very much recommend traveling to Corsica and spending a couple of days in Ajaccio.

We found many good restaurants and one favorite one we went to several times. The city is clean and the port is amazing, especially with the huge cruise ships in port. The streets with the shopping kiosks offer anything and everything. The streets go every which way but GPS was an absolute necessity. DON'T LEAVE HOME WITHOUT IT!!
Hotel Marengo is on a quiet street less than two blocks from a beach. The neighborhood has a number of cafes and restaurants within a few minutes of the hotel. Breakfast is available at the hotel for 15 Euros per person however we were able to find a petite dejeuner for 8 Euros just two blocks from the hotel.
Our sunny room overlooking beautiful the garden was immaculate. Our hostess was both welcoming and helpful in navigating our first visit to Ajaccio.
The breakfast was great, lots to choose from, loved the freshly squeezed orange juice.
We loved the industrial feel of the building. And the position of the hotel. Easy to access from the main road near the harbour. The check in time of 12 noon allowed us extra time to look around Ajaccio.
The swimming pools at the top were great, we were able to spend time here before check out as it wasn’t till 12noon. We would definitely choose to stay here again.
Stephanie was a wonderful host. I had a problem while staying in Ajaccio and, even though she was at home in Bordeaux, she reached out to a local person to help me get things fixed. The apartment is sweet and fully stocked with all the necessities. It is up five flights of stairs but has a perfect (and secure) location in the center of Ajaccio. The main city parking garage is one block away so very convenient if you have a car.
The staff was quite professional, they left the key at the information desk at the airport so I got it directly when I arrived to Ajaccio (same when I left). The location is perfect if you like the heart of the city - lots of restaurant near the apartment and also the beach and the seaport are close. There are a lot of kitchen tools if you want to cook and supermarkets and the market are pretty close to the apartment.
The staff was so helpful, friendly and all around sweet! As a woman traveling alone, I felt super safe and looked after. Thank you! I didn’t book breakfast so can’t provide any info on that but can say with certainty the hotel is really comfy and a true home away from home. Add in the brilliant location and you have yourself an excellent place to stay in Ajaccio. Would 10/10 book here again. Cheers! Georgia
We choose this stay close to the airport ajaccio. Not that far from town either.
what a stunning place to sleep. lovely shower and bed to sleep. Kitchen and drinks available. welcome drink and friendly owners. Don’t worry about the outside it’s the inside that counts! If you wanne see a movie of this place ig: leen.Decaestecker under highlight Corsica.

Excellent location close to restaurants, bars and caffes between small typical small streets. Close to trip bots. Good breakfast. Hotel is a very nice building made on 1864 with hostoric stone archs. Very helpful and sympathetic staff.
If you travel by car don't forget to reserve the parking because they have a small one for just 5 cars.
The property offers big rooms that will make your long stay enjoyable. Everything is clean and comfortable. The kindness of the staff is great at all times of the day. The hotel is located outside of the city center but is convenient if you have to move around often. I recommend the sea sided rooms to enjoy the amazing view.
Vegetarian food is rare in Corsica (How vegans manage I don’t know), but the restaurant sized up the starter so I had an excellent mushroom dish. My daughter in law who eats almost anything, loved the dinner menu.
Thé breakfast menu was also excellent.
Daughter in law also enjoyed the pool and sauna.
Hôtel Fesch was perfect for our needs. It was central to explore and to reach the train station early the next morning. The rooftop bar was lovely but unfortunately was not serving food the night we were there.
Awesome location. Airport bus stop is about 5min walk away as well as the train station. Harbour is almost in front of the hotel. Receptionist spoke excellent english. Many restaurants and services around.
The studio is cozy and clean and it is near everything you need. We really enjoyed our stay here. Check-in was easy and the little terrace is perfect place to have coffee (or glass of corsican rose).
The room was clean and spacious with an amazing view of the harbor. We were not expecting it to be so nice. The hotel had a room to store the bags until checkin so we didn't have to lug them around.
Warm and friendly staff, as is usual for Corsica. Beautiful sea view terrace. Fantastic breakfast for France, where juice, coffee and a croissant is the norm.
