We spent two nights at Mantaray Island Resort on Nanuya Balavu Island, and I wish we'd stayed a bit longer. It's quiet there, but just the snorkeling right off the beach is enough to keep me interested for many hours. We loved seeing the many, many varieties of fish, the colorful coral, the reef sharks (no worries, they are harmless), the eels... well, everything! And of course the opportunity to go out and see the manta rays in the channel was a definite highlight. The room and food prices are quite reasonable, and the food was great, especially at lunch and dinner. The warmth, kindness, humor and friendliness of the staff was another very excellent part of the experience. We have a great time and highly recommend the experience. Just be aware that it's a relaxed place--clean and organized, but not a super luxurious resort. We prefer it that way, but if you are expecting the Hilton, you would be disappointed.
