Easier to answer what I didn’t like, which is barely anything. Had an issue with the TV in the room but it worked after calling the reception. One of the days the warm food was not so warm, however this only happened once and I’ve been at this hotel multiple times.

Scratch beneath the small-town surface of Helsinki and you will find a cosmopolitan metropolis buzzing with a lively attitude and plenty of excitement. The relatively short-lived summer offers the best chance to appreciate the outdoors and sit on one of the popular café terraces, or even hit the Hietaniemi Beach, all of which can be enjoyed during the 20 hours of daylight.
Strolling around the streets of Helsinki will reveal an Empire-style of architecture, comparable to St. Petersburg. The greatest example of this is the green-domed Lutheran Cathedral which rises proudly out of the centre of Senate Square.
From here the main shopping street of Aleksanterinkatu, affectionately known as Aleksi, runs towards Mannerheimintie and contains the largest department store in Scandinavia, called Stockmann. The up-market boulevard of Esplanadi runs alongside and is packed with exclusive boutiques.
Lovers of Nordic design will be thrilled by the Design Museum and the Ateneum Art Museum. Nature is in abundance on the beautiful archipelago which lies along the coast. A must-see is the Baltic fortress of Suomenlinna, where you just might forget you’re in a big city.

Wonderful buildings (art deco) and architecture - we wandered the streets taking pictures. Walked down near the foreshore, which also has lots of running tracks and plenty of cafes/restaurants and is pleasant to do. Markets near the ferries to the islands for day trips are interesting. We did do a day trip to the island fortress and then at the end of our stay caught the ferry to Tallinn for our next adventure, staying there for 5 nights. It is a 2 1/2 hour trip to Tallinn and some people do it as a day trip. Helsinki is a very easy city to get around and has a great tram system. Clean and safe it was an enjoyable week exploring museums, churches, parks. Old town has main shopping centre with lots of high end stores if that is your thing to do. Most people speak English so language is not an issue. It is an expensive city for food and dinning out, so factor that into your budget.

The harbour with the sky wheel and flying cinema experience are worth the visit to that part of town. Unfortunately we didn't get to but if you get the chance i would have got the ferry over to Tallin for the day. Plenty to do for sight seeing. We had young kids who done alot of walking and were very tired at the end of each day but they liked it.

I give Helsinki my highest rating : DON'T GO!? LIKE, EVER!
You see, if you and a 1,000 others go, I'll be forced to wait in line for a restaurant table, taxi, etc.
The people I encountered in Helsinki were all friendly, helpful, and polite. Now tell me, who wants to put up with all that?

I love going to Helsinki.
I love going to Helsinki. My favorite spot to eat is in the Market, I love going for a nice Salmon soup. Also, one of the first things I do when I arrive to Helsinki in the morning is go to Robert's Coffee for a nice cup of joe and a chicken caesar bagel. Also, hitting fazer cafe for Geisha Latte is a must! I just love to walk around Helsinki and visit the different museums with new exhibitions and even visit the library to read some books. Getting around Helsinki is super easy, you can get by walking or just taking the tram. Hopefully next time I can go to other cities near by. Helsinki is a must!
The location of the hotel is convenient, as it is near the port of Helsinki and quite close to the cathedral and the city center.
Breakfast was generous, offering a wide variety of food, though it was mostly savory. Pastries included: the famous Scandinavian cinnamon roll, a typical Finnish cake with strawberry and rhubarb, oat biscuits, and plain croissants. One downside: the breakfast remained the same for all four days!
Beds were comfortable, the room exactly as described and depicted in the booking. The staff was very friendly. Copious breakfast, and the location is excellent for visiting the city.
Right next to the train station and shopping mall, within walking distance of the city center and harbour.
We used the nearby underground parking. Not cheap, but similar to other locations in Helsinki and very convenient.
Breakfast had a wide selection and food quality in general in the bistro was high and delicious. Room was great, bed and bath were perfect. We even got a couple hours of free parking after our stay 🙂
The hotel is within walking distance of the city center. And there is a lot of places to visit nearby.
Overall a good hotel in a convenient location, walking distance from train station/city center, nice design, relatively spacious rooms with good noise isolation
